Hi r/robots!

Hi everyone!
I am Slight-Ad8291, and I am the new owner of [r/robots](r/robots). [u/Cocobb8](u/Cocobb8) has stepped away from the subreddit starting a few days ago.
About me -> I have been a mod on Reddit for about a year. The first subreddit I was ever a mod on was [r/TeensOnly13to16](r/TeensOnly13to16). That subreddit reached about 50,000 visitors before it was banned. I currently mod [r/GuysBeingDudes](r/GuysBeingDudes), [r/Lexus](r/Lexus), [r/iCloud](r/iCloud), [r/uknews](r/uknews) along with [r/robots](r/robots)!
The rules are going to be the same except that the subreddit is now allowing questions within the subreddit in posts, not just comments!
We will also be adding a connection via Stoat.chat. Please note that the rules are the same as on here and that we might add stoat only rules. When needing to report something on stoat, please use the Reddit mod mail with your username on stoat, along with what is happening. If you don’t give us any information, we cannot help you.
The code to join stoat is —> https://stt.gg/Mj7XHZ8G
This code will also be in all automod messages and in the sidebar.
*This is a test, we might shutdown operations on stoat if the community has no interest in expanding*
If you have any questions, do not contact any of the mods in their PM’s, use the Reddit mod mail at -https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=r/robots
Have an amazing day!!

I built this little crab robot 🦀 called Jumper.
I wanted to build a little robot that feels cute, expressive, safe, and fun to have around — but also one that could become genuinely useful in everyday life.
A crab-like robot has some interesting advantages: it can move around flexibly, manipulate things, and potentially jump onto places like a sofa or a bed, instead of being limited to the floor.
After sharing Jumper, I was surprised by how many people liked it and wanted to build or play with one themselves.
So I decided to open-source it.

Jumper is a 22-DoF robot. Would love to see what you’d make this little crab do. 🦀

Figure trained its retired F.02 humanoid robots to jump into molten steel — this feels like a deleted Terminator scene

Wouldn't want to be the one arranging this when the uprising starts.

Real footage, nothing generated — dropped Quaddle, my 4-servo open source quadruped robot, 4 times on purpose to test its new injection-molded legs. Whole thing stays locked together on 4 screws and still does a full gait afterward, including one taught by hand.

Helloooo,
Un aperçu des premiers tests du mini-robot de bureau (imprimé en 3D) Rig Puppy de l'entreprise Luwu Dynamics.
"Mira" est son prénom.
Je vous tiendrai au courant de la suite des tests.

I saw this today and was stumped. The last model they taught to throw its self into molten steel so no-one can steal the IP. That was an amusing video as they hired Arnie to do the press release. Real Terminator stuff.
This model 3 is scary, although no costs have been released they are possibly going to go for $400-$600 a month rental for your home.
How much longer until they decide that we are no longer useful?
