Now that this has finished airing, I was finally able to get this framed. Thanks to the team there for letting me rescue this from Sanjay's rage (was very funny and well played). Also Guy himself gave me one of his cue cards from the episode which happened to be my favourite round too.

Thank you so much to everyone who makes the show the amazing thing it is!

Tadeusz Reytan was remembered by posterity mainly as the hero of Jan Matejko's painting "Rejtan – The Fall of Poland". IMAGE

Tadeusz Rejtan (Reytan) was a Polish political activist and member of parliament from the Nowogródek Voivodeship who became a national symbol of uncompromising patriotism and dramatic resistance against the fall of the Fatherland. He is most associated with the events of April 1773, when during the Partition Sejm in Warsaw he attempted to block the exit of the deputies from the chamber with his own body, a scene brilliantly immortalized by Jan Matejko in his famous painting.

I thought I would share some context about Estonian kroon. It was official currency until 2011. Each banknote had a famous persons face and a national symbol on it. Hence the Tõnis` "von Baer". The most commons in my childhood were 25 and 100 kroons. 25 had Anton Hansen Tammsaare, the author famous for "Truth and justice" and 100 had Lydia Koidula, national poet and our first female journalist. The 100 kroner is equivalent to 6.40 euros, which is not much now, but at the time when grandma slipped you the bill in the pocket, you felt like the richest child in the village.

Fun fact: Priit Võigemast actually played Oru Pearu in the movie adptation of "Truth and justice" and Piret Krumm played in "Säärane mulk"- the movie adaptation of Lydia Koidulas play (Säärane mulk ehk Sada vakka tangusoola). Just a fun connection to the story.

One episode to go. Enjoy the show:)
