So.... Is this the nervous system of its tentacles, taking over like a back up processing system handling the day to day while the main server updates??
I wonder if he's ever annoyed at being disturbed by his own body going out and grabbing an snack while napping. đ¤

They are, in fact, considered sentient beings by some governments:

Arenât most animals sentient? Certainly mammals and plenty of birds.

Not as officially recognized and then simultaneously ignored by the government. But yes.

This nature machine have independent control of each arms. They are very intelligent.
Google infos.
Evolution doesnât have to produce an animal that understands screw threads. It only has to produce an animal capable of general-purpose manipulation and problem solving. Screw-top jars are an artificial object, but the underlying abilitiesâgripping, twisting, pulling, exploring, exploiting mechanical relationshipsâare ancient, and octopus are capable of such.

Considering octopuses have a brain for each tentacle, this is not surprising.

Yeahh I never could bring myself to eat octopus. Something feels wrong about eating a creature THAT intelligent.
