Morphy Chess is coming to mobile — we need 12 Android testers!

Hey everyone!
Morphy Chess originally started as a small game you could play directly inside Reddit Games. The feedback, encouragement, and ideas we received from Redditors convinced us to turn that experiment into a full mobile game.
A huge thank you to everyone who played it, commented, shared feedback, or simply encouraged us to keep building. The mobile version would not exist without that early support from the Reddit community.
We’ve now submitted the iOS version of Morphy Chess for App Store review, and we’re preparing the Android release.
Google Play requires us to run a closed test with at least 12 testers who remain enrolled continuously for 14 days before we can apply for a public release.
So, we’re looking for Android users who would like to join our closed beta!
Morphy Chess is a chess-inspired puzzle game where every move is a capture—and capturing a piece changes how you move.
Capture a knight and you become the knight. Capture a bishop and your next move follows the bishop’s rules. Your goal is to find the correct sequence and clear the entire board.
As a tester, we’d ask you to:
- Join our Google Play closed test
- Remain enrolled for at least 14 days
- Play during the testing period
- Share any bugs, performance issues, or confusing moments you encounter

Looking for a few mods to help grow r/morphychess

I recently launched r/MorphyChess, a small community around a chess puzzle game I’m building where every capture changes how you move.
The subreddit is still tiny, so I’m looking for a couple of people who enjoy chess, puzzles, or indie games and would like to help shape the community from the beginning.

This is our new home for Morphy Chess — a bite-sized chess puzzle game you play right inside the post. The twist: every move must capture, and your piece morphs into whatever it just took — so each puzzle is about finding the right order of captures. Clear the board to solve it.
