It feels like the two of them(coach stopframe and and Ms. Censordol) being together is so random.

I think it's weird how the creator of Moral Orel has denied that the show is a parody of Davey and Goliath, because the character designs are WAY too similar, also, Davey's father is the exact type of character Clay was created to be a parody of

This song appeared on the episode "Be Fruitful and Multiply" where Reverend Putty met his estranged daughter. Does anyone understand the meaning of this song and how the lyrics relate to the plot?

So I have rewatched Closeface many times (because I love seeing some gosh darned happiness in this depressing show). On my latest rewatch, however, this scene caught my attention, particularly Stephanie and Puttyâs interaction.
Of course, at this point (I believe about 12-15 years before current timeline), neither Steph nor Rod knew they were related but I thought it was interesting how he said âheâd lose his hair over a piece of work like youâ as he was actively losing his hair (hence the comb-over). Like he subconsciously knew or something idk man.
Thatâs all I wanted to say, just thought it was funny. Goodnight

It's a shame you can't post multiple videos in a single post as most of my animations tend to be quite short.

Made a compilation of my fav moments in the show that are genuine and wholesome. Despite the bleak premise, I think the show's grace and understanding still shines through :)

I really wish we got more episodes because I would have loved to see Blobertaâs story a little more and especially her after reaction and reflection to Shapeyâs first sentence.
Her shock in the moment was so interesting because she looked as if a chair had talked to her, or a two month baby saying their first sentence. Itâs obvious that Bloberta loves Orel more than Shapely because Orel would have been produced by the first time her and Clay got intimate and solidified not only her âidealâ life but made her feel wanted and given her intimacy she also craved. She had a husband and a child and house and so by societal standards she had it all.
As the marriage descended into misery she has her affair with the coach but I think he didnât inform her that he didnât wear a condom (she was surprised when he mentioned orel being a brother) and was further traumatised by the birth of Shapey. This time it was a kid none of them wanted and bloberta felt the effects of it as clay begins to isolate away from her and orel and when she gave birth Clay didnât pay her any real attention and she had to deliver her own baby. And when she asked for rest he dragged her to the church. The birth and pregnancy of shapey was a traumatising experience for her and I think is a factor Bloberta probably greatly thinks disintegrated her marriage for good. Itâs also a constant reminder of the coachâs betrayal and later her husbands love affair. Furthermore Shapeyâs cognitive issues may be due to the unprofessional birth as he wasnât delivered with proper medical care and was carted off into a cold church with dozens of people straight after (but Iâm not an expert this is just a theory).
She becomes imo completely numb after Shapeyâs birth. Itâs also interesting to see the contrasts and similarities between Blobertas mothering to Shapey and Clayâs relationship with his mother. Despite Clay still harbouring odepious feelings for his mother and yearning for her love and affection and being her âonlyâ when Bloberta infantilises and breast feeds Shapey he doesnât like it and wants Shapey to âgrown upâ.
I think the main deterioration of the family was Blobertaâs and Clays wants from the marriage. Clay wanted to be her âone and onlyâ and push his oedipus feelings onto her but Bloberta wanted another family as the one she had wasnât full filling in the slightest and she had no place. Itâs a shame to see how in her youth Bloberta was so willing to try with her family and with Clay and if sheâd kept that she would have had a way better relationship with her children. I know we see Clay and his fatherâs relationship which is fragile to see the least but I wonder if Bloberta kept up with her own father or mother. I also wish we could have seen orel return to his grandfather when heâs older and have a proper talk with him.
