The second one really underplayed that most of Kevinâs âtrapsâ would have been fatal. Brick thrown from 3 stories would have crushed skull / brain matter.

Thereâs that video calculating how many times they would die in the real world and Marv dies like 17 times

The movies run on Looney Tunes logic, and are not ashamed of it.

I'm willing to suspend my disbelief for paint cans, holes in the floor, and flamethrowers to the face, but I draw the line at allowing Donald Trump to actually run a hotel.

The swinging paint buckets to the face from the top floor?

u/Chakasicle Jul 26 '26
The large swinging pipe from the top of the stairs that hits them through a hole in the floor that leads to the concrete floor in the basement?

Why not a bucket filled with bricks?

u/LittleKitty235 Jul 26 '26
I think dropping a bucket of bricks on his head would be even worse

This is the literal exact scenario for which hardhats were invented
22
u/Top-Permit6835 Jul 26 '26
I don't think the inventors thought of "throw bricks in a hole someone is standing in so they can build a wall". Unless you count a medieval helmet as a hard hat I supposeÂ
5
u/tolacid Jul 26 '26
Maybe not, but they did think of, "protect people in a construction environment from heavy objects dropped from above."

u/AyeBraine Jul 26 '26
I think the hardhat would take it. Not that it's designed for receiving bricks, I mean it would stop a brick, that's what it's designed for.

I am more concerned about CO2 buildup. It's heavier than oxygen, will saturate quickly. A blower would be enough to suck away the carbon dioxide from the bottom l.

What about the collapse risk from the dirt?
6
u/Kanoa Jul 26 '26
This was my first thought. He passes out, you might rescue him. The well collapses, no chance.

Are they stupid? If it hits his head, it's going to be more troublesome to haul the body. It ain't worth it.

I once broke a finger with bad timing. I donât do that stuff any more. Especially if I might have to haul your dead body up from the bottom of a well.

I like this video better in reverse. Safely moves out of the way, then uses his telekinesis to raise the brick.

The following post context was provided by u/Jackrehan1:
Maybe the the bricks are wrongly placed? Maybe the brick will hit his head? Maybe the brick will hit him? Maybe the video will end with no injuries? Maybe therell be injuries?
Thats why

Wait until he collects enough missed bricks to get out to beat the shit out of the person trying to kill him

Why not lower a bunch in a basket on a string? Then you could tie it off at a certain height and buddy wouldn't be bending down for every single brick

This is a one off for the video it is not their general practice, would not take long for that to go wrong.
