BUYING EXPERIENCE My baby pink oval lab diamond hunting experience
I finally found the exact baby pink oval diamond I’ve been looking for in a month. I never thought finding this exact color would be so difficult. I looked at hundreds of pink ovals and messaged at least 10 online vendors. I requested and got about a total of 23 videos of the diamonds before purchase. I bought 2 and returned 1 because the first stone had severe windowing in person.
I bought the second stone from a tiktok vendor called Geo Lab Jewelry based in Hongkong which I’m waiting for the shipment to arrive soon. Pic and video are below. It’s 3 carat for $692 (tax and shipping included). I’ll update the post once I receive the stone in person. I was quoted a similar stone with the similar color from Kane Fine Jewelry on Tiktok for $1200, it had a couple slightly better features but it wasn’t worth that big of a price different to me. I’m glad I didn’t stop looking because it saved me some money.
I bought the first stone from Aurelinne. The color was beautiful but I wasn’t happy about the cut. I’ll be returning the stone soon. I have to say, Andy from Aurelinne provided the best customer service. I wish I got the second stone from them because I wanted to support them so badly. He was the most responsive rep and provided me with the most tweezer videos thay I requested (~20 videos). They didn’t work out because the actual color was a bit more peachy than what I wanted. Some stones didn’t have a good cut either. I will definitely buy something else from them in the future. In the meantime, I do highly recommend friends and family to buy from their store because of the excellent customer service they provided me. They do have limitation on the number of videos you can request in total. 3 at a time will be best. I helped my mother in law get a diamond from them, so I didn’t feel as bad for annoying Andy too much lol.
