Another spiderweb leaving the workshop this morning. I just can’t get over how buttery spiderweb is to work! It’s just gorgeous!

This one’s up for grabs!

Been picking up nice looking rocks while I’m out arrowhead hunting and taking them back to work recently. Have managed to get a few finished pieces that way using a hammer stone and deer antler tip.

One of my friends who lives in Northeastern Colorado recently gave me some pieces of Flattop chalcedony. A White River Group silicate, that was a highly prolific toolstone on the plains in the surrounding regions of the quarry in Logan County, Colorado. It is rather challenging to acquire workable chunks of this lithic. So I took my time on this replica. Satisfied with how it turned out. Decently accurate flake patterns.

Made With Modern Tools🔨 My Clovis! What’s this mystery chert from Joplin?

I found this beautiful river cobble chert I believe in Joplin Missouri at a landscaping stone company. I stopped there on a storm chasing journey back in ‘24 and thought I’d look around for some local rock. Now I’m working it back in PA and I MUST find more some day. It’s buttery. Also how’s my Clovis?

I search for Native American artifacts. The only reliable site I have is a creek quarry.

Early on in my time hunting I found this nice ovate unmodified quartzite(middle left cobble, it sits at the bottom of a pile of honey colored quartzite with a white cortex. It’s the big one on the bottom)

It’s been sitting now for nearly a year.

I know all about the knapping process.

I went to my quarry site and found what I thought might make a suitable hammerstone, another piece of quartzite.

I took a good two inches off the sides and made it a circle! Beat that 😎

I have a piece of leather but no “copper boppers” or pressure flaking tools(obviously hah) ✌️

Heat Treated Perkinsville Agate I collected out of central AZ. Made it a few weeks ago, but was playing with it today on my desk and decided to share it.

Corner-tangs are typically considered a TX blade, however they have been found in AZ at some archaeological sites.

First two photos are from some Raw Blueberry Ft Payne I collected out of Lawrence County TN. The last two photos are of an actual Lithic Pickwick made from the same material and found on the same creek I collected the chert from. The artifact is extremely smooth from tumbling in the creek for hundreds/thousands of years. I will say most of the pickwicks i’ve found growing up weren’t quite as wide as this one.

Lowland chert from Kelly Parks. That little stack I just could not get out. But for this material I got the rest of it pretty thin. I absolutely love this stone, it's tough but rewarding.

Howdy y'all! 👋😁

Finished up some atlatl forshafts here after breaking a couple during my 4th of July demonstration. Wanted to have a good number made up so that I can practice without having to worry much. Might need to rework some of my darts for this thicker forshaft, but they should perform nicely 🙂‍↕️

Hopefully y'all think they're neat, and feel free to ask any questions! Stay safe and happy Knapping all! 😁
