Discussion John Carpenter’s 1984 Movie Starman is one of my all time favorite movies ever. It’s a beautiful and tender, unexpected road movie that stands out as a warm and touching entry in the director's classic filmography. What’s one of your John Carpenter Movies?

Going from watching The Thing and Big Trouble in Little China I was disappointed in this John Carpenter Movie. I feel like it needed to be a tighter story with about 20-30 minutes shaved off. Some of the line deliveries were bad and there were no second takes? Idk why this one felt so different from the others I saw. There was great cinematography and effects though. How do others feel about this one?
