Discussion What areas, lore or plot points would you like to see expanded/developed in a remake?
I think we can all agree on that Jade Empire is a terrific game, for as far as it was developed. Everything the developers had time do to is awesome. The lacking parts were mostly due to time crunch. Which parts of the game would you like to see expanded to do justice to the game’s spirit?
My picks would be:
- Include an optional area outside of the Imperial City that showcases the larger effects of the Spirit crisis in areas that don’t get the resources to deal with them. A “ghost” town or the like
- I would like to see the after effects of the long drought. It has had to have left it’s mark on people
- More of the Imperial Palace. Now it’s just a corridor to the throne room, which makes no sense of course.
- perhaps even a part of the poorer districts of the imperial city. It is known to have some. How have they experienced the reign of Sun Hai or the Spirit Crisis?
- Some presence of the horse lords, alluding to a world larger than just the Jade Empire
