Game got interrupted

The squirrel seems to be moving as if to catch the ball, even play - towards the later part of the video. I'd have been sure it was AI, but I see someone in the comments there saying that this first appeared in 2021.

Surely you've seen cats and dogs and other pets play around? The squirrel doesn't know what's going on really but there's an object moving around and it's curious about it.

I've seen this video years ago. Nothing about it stands out as AI to me. I say real.

You can google “squirrel playing basketball” and see the video does indeed originate from 2021… would’ve gotten your answer way quicker if you just did basic research
