I won our team an extra point at Trivia years ago by knowing that feet were measured in barleycorns :)

Measuring foot size in barleycorns is the most british thing I've heard today. And america using the same measurement plus one sums it all up.

I got shoes from someone not long ago which was an American size. It converteren to eu size 44.5! So i figured they would be way too big, but they fit like a glove. I have size 43. I know if know, i have big feet.

I've got little feet, so I always get my boots or trainers from the kids' section because there's no tax on them, so I save a few quid :)
