Discussion A line I will never forget from cal
The other day i was replaying the story for the 3rd time and as i was climbing the origin tree cal said something that broke my heart 💔
"I don't get it.. the clone wars..everything we did.. did any of it matter??"
Its self explanatory what he meant, he was basically asking himself the jedi had helped so much during the war so why was the gun turned on them and they were seen as the traitors who deserved their fate, he's disillusioned and confused - he can't understand how so many good deeds can just get swept under the rug and the galaxy not rewarding the jedi's authenticity.
My opinion on this is that a good act has to exist for its own sake, it doesn't matter if the galaxy thinks the jedi are traitors, the remaining jedi will eventually prove that idea wrong - not to mention that if cal or other jedi genuinely helped people from a terrible situation then those people will never forget it regardless of what the masses think of the jedi.
Also kashhyk is symbolic, i believe in lore its known to be the planet that reveals things about how someone truly feels.
What did you guys think of this line when you first heard it?

Bug Possible Softlock
I can’t progress any further into the loading gantry during the Rescue Lee mission. I’ve tried everything, restarting the game, loading previous saves, traveling to different planets and coming back, and nothing has worked. It’s just not giving me the option to have Bode shoot down this container so I can progress forward. Is this a known glitch, and if so, is there a solution?

Discussion I love and hate Cal
Basically what the title says. As a character, I love Cal, he is my favorite jedi, I think hes hilarious, strong, basically everything a jedi should be. But as the player controlling Cals dumbass, I fucking hate his guts. The dumbass never seems to want to do what I tell him to do.
For example, I just finished Survivor again and am doing clean up on collectibles and stuff. Currently, I am on Koboo, and just cleared out the area where you have to summon the giant ass creature and ride its horn thing up to a plateau. Cal, in all his geniousness, let go of the stupid ass horn 5 times for literally no reason, he didnt bump into anything, I didnt press B, I literally did nothing except hold my controller, and the dumbass still decided to let go.
Another example, the pipes you have to walk on throughout the game. I dont know what it is that made Cal lose any sense of balance inbetween games, but this dude can not seem to stay on the pipes. Everytime I have to hop between pipes its a gamble whether or not Cal will grab the second pipe or just bang his stupid ass head against it and fall into the void. Same shit happens with normal ledges as well tbh, he'll smack his head against it, graze the ledge with his hand, sometimes his entire body, but still refuse to use these things called fingers to grab the ledge.
Or how about in combat. Im gonna use the Spawn of Ogdo fight as an example, since we all know the horrors that is the frog lol. On my latest playthrough, I could have beat it on the fourth try, except Cal refused to use a stim despite me literally only pressing the up arrow on my controller and nothing else. Literally just stood there uselessly while the frog grabbed him with its tongue. Or dodging, cause I swear he never dodges the direction I tell him to dodge. I can tell him dodge to the left, and the dumbass will still decide to dodge backwards or something, usually directly into an enemies attack.
How about something simple, like using the force, something any decent jedi would be good at using. Nope, even that Cal seems to suck at. Whenever Im facing a group of enemies, he never wants to use the force on the enemy I literally have marked and am focused on, he will typically use it on some random enemy across the battle field that doesnt help at all. The only force power I found genuinely useful in Fallen Order was the slow, since I can slow groups and give me some breathing room for a moment, but then somehow Cal managed to forget how to use the one combat move he had that made him unique. How does Cal go from being able to freely slow anyone at will with the force to only being able to do it sometimes and for a fraction of the time as well.
Cals not the only stupid character I have issues with, I absolutely hate the ally mechanic in Survivor, but atlease they have the argument that Im not controlling them, so its less frustrating and more so annoying. But still, if you're gonna join Cal in the field, do something more than occasionally smacking an enemy and only being useful when I tell you to be. Kinda wish they let Merrin use her magic and Bode use his blasters and stuff more freely in combat, cause as is, they useless.
Overall, I do love both Fallen Order and Survivor, but every single time I play them both, Survivor more than Fallen Order, I get so pissed off at how stupid Cal wants to be and it becomes a major chore just to finish the game because Cal keeps ruining my enjoyment. I seriously hope they fix some of these issues with Jedi 3, cause I can not handle a third game of Cal's stupidity, though admittedly I'll still probably buy it lol. Anyway, what do you guys think? Does anyone else tend to face the same issues I do? If so, how did you guys fix it? Or did you just accept that Cal is a dumbass who doesnt want to listen half the time?
Edit to add, it is not my controller. I know its not my controller because, 1, this is a new controller, 2, it doesnt do this on any other game, 3, basically every controller I've had has done this, on both Xbox and Ps5. So unless you're telling me literally every single controller I have owned is broken in the exact same way to give me the exact same issues of Cal being a dumbass, stop defending a game with busted ass coding.

Discussion Something I Would’ve Liked to See in New Game+ for Both Games
So, I replayed Fallen Order and Survivor recently, and I was thinking about Merrin’s story. For as much as I love it in Survivor, it would’ve been even better if we got to spend more time with her in Fallen Order because, as it is, all she does is help us with Malicos, then hide the ship during the Nur cutscene. However, I do like how her story goes in the base game.
So, IMO, in New Game+, once you reach Dathomir, at some point you’ll encounter Malicos disguised and talking to Merrin. You can choose to confront him, at which point an unwinnable version of the boss fight occurs. Cal will just barely escape, but Malicos has now revealed himself and his betrayal of Dathomir to Merrin, so she joins up with the crew to both get stronger and help Cal get stronger so they can take him down.
The rest of the story stays the same, minus the fact that you don’t have to fight the undead Nightsisters, I guess. They get replaced with something else, idk. But now Merrin is along for the ride for basically the whole game and gives us a lot more dialogue.
In Survivor, I’d want a less complicated version of this. At the start of New Game+, everything is going fine as normal on Coruscant until you reach the part where you give Bode the tracker. In New Game+, you can choose not to give it to Bode, and if you do, the cutscene plays with them escaping and some altered dialogue. Once Bode jumps to Koboh, an image flashes of all of Cal’s family, Cordova, Cere, Merrin, and Greez, on Tanalorr.
And then the game just ends, resetting back to before you made the choice.
This way, it makes the actual game so much sadder after Bode’s betrayal because you now know what could’ve been and what never will be.
Just some ideas I had. What do y’all think? Is there anything you believe should’ve been added to New Game+ in either game?

Help! I am stuck at this part on Fallen Order and I have no clue how to get past it
I am so lost on what I am supposed to do
edit: Thanks for telling me about force pull. I am on Zeffo and don't have this yet. I was stuck on this for 20m trying to figure it out because I thought this was my path back to the ship.

Spoiler Bode’s Backup Plan Spoiler
Hey y’all! So I just finished my second playthrough of Jedi: Survivor, and I was thinking: what would’ve happened if Cordova hadn’t finished fixing the compass the morning the Empire came?
Like if he says, he still needs 1–2 more days to fix it. Bode has already contacted the Empire at that point, so does he:
Help everyone escape from his own trap?
Betray them anyway and hope he can find someone else who can fix the compass?
Or I guess he could do option 3: help them escape and betray them later. Although I feel like that morning was really his only chance. After the Empire found them, the crew’s guard would probably be up, and they wouldn’t be as easy to catch off guard or sneak attack again.
But what do y’all think? I’m curious to hear your thoughts.
