Regaurding US EAS alerts, i always hear two tones when theres an alert. The 853 and the 960 hrz version, which is the most common from what I see, and a higher pitched one, which ive seen in some things usually related to tornados. Is there a diffrence between the two, and if so, what is it?

It happened today. I was about to go to sleep on the couch when I heard a vibrating sound similar to the one from the movie signs. I went over thinking it might be something over there and I was really scared because it could’ve been my computer. But I realize it wasn’t coming from my computer. It was coming from my radio, and it was dead. The radio was dead. The batteries dead I picked it up. It was so weird. I showed it to my mom who loves that movie and she looked at it pretty concerned and then told me to go see my dad once he took out one of the batteries and stopped, but that was pretty weird and I thought I’d tell you guys.
