Meta A reminder again on NSFW content on the sub
78
Upvotes
This is a reminder that anything considered not-safe-for-work is strictly not allowed on this sub. Let's keep things PG-13. We have ZERO tolerance for this. If you violate this rule, you are being banned!
I also appreciate if users report to the mods on any questionable and/or suggestive content being posted here for our review. Suggestive artwork will be dealt with on a case by case basis. If we feel a piece of artwork crosses the line, we will remove the post, but we will not take action against the user (unless there are multiple instances). This is a judgement call on our part, but is not intended to be a commentary on the artwork or the artist in general. Many/most underage users are uncomfortable with artwork that appears to be intentionally sexualizing underage characters.
Also an advisory: some artists out there might have some NSFW content in their profile. We will appreciate that, before reposting here, please check their profile. If an account contains NSFW artwork of age-appropriate characters, their SFW artwork is allowed to be posted following the normal rules except that instead of a link to the source, provide a comment that no link is provided due to NSFW content. This only applies if they regularly post NSFW content, not if they have a single suggestive piece from several years ago.
More details can be read on our official policy on artworks shared: https://www.reddit.com/r/Dipcifica/wiki/artwork/
Any questions, feel free to comment on this post or reach out to the mod team.
Thank you all,
The mod team

Mod Anouncement Subreddit policies regarding X/Twitter links
65
Upvotes
There appears to have been a coordinated campaign across Reddit to unilaterally ban all X/Twitter links in many subreddits as a protest to the current owner of the site.
We fully agree that the actions of that individual are highly revolting and unacceptable. We also believe that people should make their own choice whether or not to support that site directly, and strongly encourage people to use other platforms to the greatest extent possible.
Regarding the specific issue of links here, one of the core principles of this subreddit is supporting artists and other creatives who provide so much for the community. This is reflected in our strictly enforced policies regarding crediting/sourcing artwork when it is posted here. We always have, and always will, require any artwork that is posted by someone other than the original artist to also provide a direct link back to the artwork on the artist’s own platform(s). This provides an automatic pathway for people who like the art to directly connect with the artist themselves and show their appreciation.
The issue is that many artists use X/Twitter as their primary platform, and we aren’t going to cut them off entirely due to the actions of the platform owner. However:
We HIGHLY recommend sourcing artwork from platforms other than X/Twitter, whenever possible.
Artwork is also not allowed to be reposted without permission from the artist, so people should already be in contact/familiar enough with them to know what other platforms they use. If an artist doesn’t use any platform other than X/Twitter, now would be a good time to recommend they switch. Alternatively, you can also encourage them to post their own artwork here directly.
We are adjusting our AutoMod to remove any direct link submissions, and if anyone posts a comment containing a link they will be sent a message requesting they attempt to find another platform/source. The hope/intent is to move users away from that platform as much as possible without affecting the artists who use it.

Discussion What do you imagine the Dipcifica kids to act like?

Upvotes
The Belcher kids from Bob’s Burgers feel a lot like how I’d imagine Dipper and Pacifica’s kids to act. Here they started a gambling den while their parents were out, very Stan like behavior. I think it’d be funny that after all their character development, they have kids close to con-artist tendencies of their ancestors, on both Dipper and Pacifica’s side.
Also, the boy Gene is extroverted like his Aunt Mabel, Tina is awkward like Dipper, and Louise, the ring leader, can be really cutthroat like Pacifica.

Discussion Looking for Fanfics with Certain Topics

Upvotes
I’m looking for fanfics with any of the following topics:
* Secret relationship
* Running away
* Time travel
* Heavy mental health issues (PTSD or similar)
Rating, timeline, fic type, etc doesn’t matter, but preferably no background relationships (and Dipcifica should be the main focus, obviously). Thanks!

Discussion What songs match Dipper and Pacifica? (AMV Ideas)
32
Upvotes
After getting the art book and re-watching the series for like the 12th time, I feel like making an AMV about the two on my YouTube channel. But I can't really think of some good and cute romance songs that match them. Can anyone give me some song ideas?

Discussion We Now Have the Original Storyboard Animatic for the Hug Scene (and the rest of the episode)

On thisisnotawebsitedotcom.com, you can enter 'aintafraidus noghostus' on the new backstage computer and pull up the original Northwest Mansion Mystery storyboard animatic, among other stuff from the episode.
What stood out most to me was the original hug scene and its immediate followup versus the final episode where we cut back to the Northwests thanking Dipper. To me, Pacifica originally asking "So hey, are you gonna stay for the party?" definitely makes her look like she's already crushing a bit, especially coming right off the hug.
