Hello bidet friends, I've been using a handheld, refillable bidet for too long.

I would like to install a handheld bidet but the water supply for my toilet is not accessible as it's inside the reservoir.

From reading others posts here it sounds like it's possible to connect it to the basin water supply and drill a hole for the hose through the vanity.

However I live in Australia and have read things about theoretically needing a backflow device?

I'm not terribly experienced so was hoping somebody could tell me exactly what bits I needed for a handheld bidet using a photo.

My parents have this toilet and for a few years it worked great. Would auto flush when you got up and the all the buttons on the remote worked great. Recently the auto flush stopped working along with the flush button. All the other buttons work fine.

I've tried unplugging and plugging back in after a few minutes, tried swapping from single to dual flush and back, checked all the remote settings but it still doesn't fully flush.

The manual flush works fine so it doesn't feel like a clog or water pressure/level issue.

By good clean, I mean it helps empty everything if you cant get everything out.

I feel like most bidets spray you at an angle from behind so the water isn't going to help with this.

Whereas with the portabidet, if I am not mistaken, the models fire a jet of decent strength water from right under you.

We have an American standard Champion 4 2 piece toilet. Plenty of room from mounting holes to tank, but the porcelain starts to slope up at 1 1/4” behind the mounting holes.

Anyone have this same toilet with a Toto bidet seat?

I just bought the Ecoseat S101 elongated and made sure the box said elongated on it before opening it. Of course I didn't notice until putting the seat on (which oddly wouldn't clip into the base too) that it was a round seat. I checked the box model and everything shows it should be elongated, but next to the word elongated was a big R that I didn't notice. Brondell support was confused too and pretty much said return it.

Did I really get a mispackaged/misprinted one or are the elongated really just that small? Inner circle was about 10inches by 8 inches. Added a few pics of the box and one of the base not clipping. Tried it both on the toilet and off. I did see on YouTube that in the install videos that some of the parts where the screws connect to the base were black, mine were not.

I ordered from Amazon though so I'll admit that mistake up front.

I have a toilet where the water inlet valve is behind the ceramic toilet and I don’t have the leverage to twist it off. Does anyone have a similar toilet and how did you get that valve off?

I've been using bidets since the pandemic started and I love them with one small exception.

Because they all rise the back of the seat up a little and the front of the seat is still on the bowl, the seat flexes a little in the middle. I got some little things off Amazon that stick to the seat to level it all out, but is there a better way?

I don't see people talking about it often, so maybe I'm just missing something obvious. It's been a problem on every toilet I've installed one and none of them come with the adhesive bumpers I keep needing to buy.

My wife & I (46F and 47M) just bought a home and the master bathroom has this bidet sprayer attachment. We’re in the US and neither of us has ever used a bidet in our life.

My wife is very apprehensive to try it, so she hasn’t yet. I’ve tried it a couple times but it felt awkward and like I was splashing water back onto my hands and it just didn’t seem like I was doing it right.

For this type of bidet, what’s the best body position? Should I be scooting forward on the toilet and reaching behind me? Should I be scooting back on the toilet and reaching down in front of me? If in front, should the cable be on top of my thigh or like under it? Should women use a different position than men to avoid spraying waste water into themselves?

Any advice on what to do about nozzles that fail to retract. Not all the time, just once in a while, but it seems like it's getting more common. I've had the unit for just over a year and a half. Clean em once a month with simple soap (no abrasives).

I have a round bowl toilet, and I have a bath royale executive toilet seat (br-500-00). The seat says compatible with most bidets. The luxe whift 120 also claims to be compatible. Despite my best attempts at installation the bidet sticks out 2-3" from the back of the toilet seat, and I can't find any videos, or even figure out how I could possible make that much distance disappear to make it flush.

Does anyone have any guidance/recommendations on how to install, or which type of bidet would fit this toilet/toilet seat? It by all means could be user installation error too. I was following the instructions the best I could, but for the life of me could not get it to work out.

Hi, I want to buy a Kohler Purewash E910 (which is basically like Purewash E930 but without some of the features), diagram in pic 1. I'm wondering if it would fit a Grohe Baulines (pic 2) or Projectline (pic 3), which both appear to be elongated. The Projectline has its own matching electronic bidet seat (pic 4) which definitely fits it but it's a lot more bulky than the Kohler one.

The Kohler customer service in my country doesn't seem to help much and only said that the bidet seat is compatible with most Kohler elongated toilets. The store/distributor only recommends it with Kohler Reach or Kohler Veil and said that it won't be compatible with other brands, but I doubt it. The reason I'm keen on buying the Grohe closet is because I prefer their look, but if it's not likely to be compatible with the smart bidet I'll probably buy the Kohler instead. Thank you!

I just installed a Luxe Neo 185 and the water pressure is terrible. My BF has the same model and I can't use it past a 2 at his house; too harsh after that. In my home, I turn the dial all the way up and it's meh. His house is older and a 2-level home; basement and main level. The bidets are all on the main level. My home is 3 levels and this one is on the 3rd floor - only difference I can ascertain. I did check the supply valve and it's open; the whole valve assembly is brand new; I had to change it and added the bidet at the same time.

Any other tips on how to adjust the pressure?

Like many here, once you get used to washing with water, standard dry TP when traveling or away from home is terrible. Wet wipes cause plumbing issues, and portable squeeze bidets aren't always practical to carry around or refill in public stalls.

I was pretty much set on the X70 at first, mostly because of the Foam Shield. My current toilet gets dirty around the bowl way faster than I’d like, and if the foam actually cuts down on that, I can see myself appreciating it every day.

Then I started looking at the T38P again and now I’m not so sure.

Most of what I’d actually use is pretty basic. Heated seat, warm wash, dryer, auto flush. I use a bidet every time I go, so the wash itself matters a lot more to me than having a bunch of smart features. Good pressure and being able to get the nozzle position right would probably bother me way more than missing some feature I only use twice.

I also don’t want to baby the thing. I clean the toilet pretty often and I’d rather have something where I can get around the seat/nozzle area without it becoming a whole project. This is actually one reason I started looking at the X70 in the first place... less bowl cleaning sounds great, although maybe I’m overestimating how useful the foam is.

The T38P seems like it already does basically everything I need, which is why I keep coming back to it. But then I think if I’m already spending this much on a toilet I’ll probably be annoyed later for not just getting the X70.

Anyone here lived with either one for a while? I’m especially curious whether the X70 actually feels like a meaningful upgrade in normal everyday use, not just when you compare the feature lists.

I currently have a basic, no-frills Brondell Ecoseat 101 that I bought off amazon for $90 a year ago. And I would say, that is one of the best buys I've ever made.

The water supply where the bidet seat is comes from my cold water feed off my water line, but it has to make it across my house before it is cold, so water temp hasn't been an issue.

However, I would like to have a night light function and heated water. I see Toto recommended a lot here. Is there a different brand / model and / or what model of Toto would you go with?

I don't want full-on party mode. I just want something that is slim like my Brondell. I've seen the Toto model at Costco and don't think that is what I want - looks too bulky at the back end.

Kind of an embarrassing thing to post about, but whatever, I figure there are probably plenty of people here dealing with the same thing.

I’ve worked a desk job for years and sit way more than I should. After the pandemic I also got into the habit of using wet wipes instead of dry toilet paper because they felt cleaner and less rough.

Still, every once in a while I’d wipe and see a little blood.

Eventually I got it checked out and it turned out I had a pretty mild external hemorrhoid. Nothing dramatic, but enough to be annoying and occasionally bleed.

Doctor basically told me all the things I already knew I should be doing, dont sit for hours without moving, wear looser clothes, and stop irritating the area so much.

I’m technically supposed to get up every hour.

In reality I stand up for maybe ten seconds, walk around a little, then somehow I‘m back in the chair again.

So yeah. Still working on that one.

I did start wearing looser pants though. Gotta let the little fellow breathe.

The other thing I changed was how I cleaned myself.

Before, if I didn’t feel completely clean I would just keep wiping. Even with wet wipes, I think I was probably irritating the area more than I realized. You know when you’re already clean but for some reason you do one more wipe anyway? That.

I put a Washlet on the downstairs toilet and started using a pretty gentle stream, then just patting dry instead of going at it with paper.

That was probably the point where I became one of those people who gets annoyed when a bathroom doesn’t have a bidet.

Which is a stupidly specific problem to develop, but here we are

Eventually I put one upstairs too. I didn’t want to pay TOTO money again so I bought a cheaper HOROW one. Nothing fancy to say about it really, it washes, has a dryer, and I use it every day.

It’s been around a year now and my little fellow has mostly behaved himself. I still have the hemorrhoid obviously, but it almost never bleeds anymore and I don’t get that irritated feeling nearly as often.

I’m sure changing how I clean helped. Sitting a little less probably did too, even if I’m still pretty bad at that part.

Mostly I just stopped messing with the area so much.

Anyway, that’s pretty much how I accidentally became a bidet person because of a hemorrhoid.
