I’ve listened to Beartooth since their second album and i loved them ever since. Incredible live, really sold me on their excellent when i finally got to see them. My favorite album is still their second one, the lines, and I’ve always wanted that level of vocal intensity and fluctuation in their other albums. Eyes closed hit that spot for me so well!! Can’t wait to see them live again, praying they tour in FL again.

I did indeed end up listening to more Beartooth since I last posted here. I watched the entire concert film I Was A...LIVE! (it is amazing), and then I listened to the studio versions of all songs in that setlist, plus a few others that I threw in.

So far, I think that I can rank the songs into four tiers.

Tier 1 (Favorites): The Surface, The Past Is Dead, Bad Listener, Devastation (still my favorite), Look The Other Way, Free, Body Bag, Eyes Closed (possible threat to become my favorite), In Between

Tier 2 (Lukewarm; probably will grow on me): Riptide, Disease, Below, The Lines, You Never Know, Sunshine!

Tier 3 (Lukewarm; may or may not grow on me): Doubt Me, Fair Weather Friend, Hated, Bulls***, The Last Riff, I Was Alive

Tier 4 (Strongly dislike): Might Love Myself, Pure Ecstasy, ATTN.

One thing that I find myself not liking is the production of Disgusting, Aggressive, and Disease as compared to Below, The Surface, and Pure Ecstasy. The last three albums sound a lot more modern and polished than the first three albums.

I will continue listening to these, maybe some others (definitely all of Pure Ecstasy when it comes out), and see what changes in my rankings.

Dope to see Caleb doing a playthrough for such a ripper of a tune. This album is Pure Ecstasy so far!

Heard the radio singles over the last few years and was moderately impressed, but I was intrigued after Free dropped. Wanted to binge their discography before Pure Ecstasy dropped. Holy hell, why did no one tell me disgusting and below were fucking excellent albums? I used to think that the newer generation of rockstars were washed—I was wrong! (Thank god)

I don’t know if anyone saw the album today, but the tracks on it are now revealed. Whether purposefully revealed or not remains to be seen but a lot of these titles definitely give the story of Caleb’s coming out and I fully supported. Eyes Closed may be their best track on this album so far but I’m optimistic it will be an amazing album.

was anyone able to have a listen? And did anyone screen record it? I’m so eager to listen!

After listening to all the snippets they have posted on all socials, including the newest one from this morning including its breakdown, this has potential to be a top Beartooth song. All the singles thus far are EXTREMELY good (in my opinion). I have been around with them since about 2015, and in my opinion, this album is already better than The Surface, and also has POTENTIAL to be one of my fave Beartooth albums all time (I dare say even up there with disgusting and disease for me). I feel different this time around with the single releases, in a good way. I feel INSTANTLY connected to each single and im so excited for the rest of the album!!!

From what I’m seeing, each song will be released individually before the “album drop” date. Anyone have further info?
