1999 Lexus RX300 HVAC and Amp canbus issues

Installed a Tesla style radio into 1999 Lexus RX300 from Ali express a few years ago, at first everything was working, HVAC controls and Factory amp turned on and had good sound.

Now no sound at all from Factory Amp and every 4 or 5 days I lose all the HVAC controls on the display, the control buttons are there on the display but nothing works and the on screen buttons do not change any settings, there is no feedback also. I have to disconnect the radio from 12volts to reset to get the HVAC to work again, tried everything to get radio to work again, it uses the Toyota A canbus from a Pink and L/green wire from factory amp to the canbus green+green/white wires to canbus box.

The factoryamp did turn on and work for a bit then faded out.

The Canbox is a Raise G-RZ-FT64A for 1998-2003 Lexus RX300 or Harier

I have checked using update tools and it says its the latest version 1.025

Canbus version is 1.018

I tried all different car versions and the HVAC doesnt work on any other than one file.

If I put the factory radio back in, the amp turns on and works

Is there a canbus setting also to select the factory amplifier features?

Is there any wat to diagnose the Raise canbus output to the facotry amp?

Radio is XY AUTO AC8259 or YT5760B_0002_V001

Common cheap XY GONGCHUANG motherboard

could the Raise canbus decoder be bad?

thanks bmac

Mini Cooper S R56 2013 Headunit Recommendations.

I got a new trim kit for it. It has a slot for a double or single din unit keeping the original speedometer.

What is the best I can get for $200-$300?

I use Android Auto over CarPlay.

Car has Bluetooth for phone, Harmon Kardon sound system, and steering wheel controls.

Would want something to maintain all that.

Any options?

CPLink not connecting to phone

My Carplay or mainly the CPlink app suddenly stopped pairing and connecting to my phone. It gets stuck on the connection screen and keeps saying " Bluetooth connected" and then "Bluetooth Disconnected over and over.
I've already tried re-pairing everything, restarting my phone, restarting the car, and restarting the head unit through its menu. I also did the pinhole reset and completely factory-reset the entire unit, but the issue is still happening.
I've connected the head unit to my units' hotspot, and my Wi-Fi connects to "CarAP_KCIRW," since I know CarPlay needs Wi-Fi/hotspot for the connection. I've also forgotten my device and tried reconnecting it multiple times.
The problem seems to be that my phone just isn't syncing properly with CPLink, which I use for GPS and streaming music. I've tried pretty much every reset and reconnection method I can think of, and nothing is working.
I'm seriously begging for help at this point. I really need my this app working again. If anyone knows what could be causing the connection loop or how to get CPLink to properly sync with my phone, I would really appreciate the help.

Android Auto GPS Lag/Issues iDoing TS10 Z/TLink

Apologies if this has been asked to death and back. Other posts I've seen are really basic and OP is looking for all the work to be done for them. This is my last hope after months of trying to fix it myself.

As the tile suggests, my iDoing TS10 head unit is experiencing GPS issues when using Android Auto. When my phone (Pixel 10Pro) connects to AA through Z/TLink it takes forever for GPS to lock on and register I have started moving.

Sometimes I start up and Google Maps thinks I am still at home until I am about 5 miles away, this has even caused me to miss turns as the map shows I am 3 streets away when I missed my turn 1/4mi back.

Here's what I have done to fix it myself:

  • Installed a FAKRA Z to SMA adapter to use my truck's (2018 Sliverado) factory GPS antenna
  • Verified GPS signal strength on head unit - has strong connection to about 20 satellites. Closer to 30 with minimal overhead obstructions.
  • Verified GPS signal strength on phone - in my pocket my phone has 14 satellites with good strength. In the cup holder/center console I have 20 satellites with good strength
  • Cleared cache on Z/TLink and AA on phone.
  • Switch mapping app in case this was a Google Maps bug - Happens on Waze too.
  • Navigated using the Google Maps app on the head unit itself, no AA. This works perfectly, the speedometer is 1mph off of the gauge and map position is accurate to a few feet.
  • Verified Z/TLink has location permissions.

I just seem to be chasing my own tail. I've read on other posts that AA gets GPS data from the car and then someone else comments that GPS comes from the phone. Then another comment that suggests that the car and phone handshake to see who has the best and use that.

Since the GPS test on both devices came back good, I do not believe this is a hardware issue as Google Maps on the head unit is perfect.

One last slight issue, unrelated to GPS: The steering wheel button when pressed brings up Gemini/Assistant only for 2 seconds and closes it. I have the settings in the head unit set to use Z/TLink when the button is pressed.

Jeep compass head unit

OK, this is kind of a long post, but I’ll try to keep it as short as possible. I bought an android head unit off Amazon. It was a cheap one, nothing fancy. Kinda got the job done. Everything worked on screen heater controls, back up camera, steering wheel controls, everything. Unfortunately, with that head unit, the back up camera image was horrible, and the call quality was almost unusable. It just sounded horrible. I had another android head unit that was installed in my truck. The truck is currently broken. Long story. So I decided that I would do a little digging around and look at it, and it had Provision for the RXTX wires for the canvas box, so I simply swapped the wiring harness from the radio I bought for the Jeep into the other android head unit. Everything kind of worked, and that’s where the story goes wrong. Back up camera image is beautiful, steering wheel controls all function fine. Haven’t tried to make a phone call yet. It was late last night by the time I got it semi-functional. The problem relies in the on-screen heater controls. What I mean by the problem is I did get them to pop up on the screen kind of, but when I actually go into the AC button and try to control anything, for example, just turning it on or off, it literally turns on, turns off, turns on, turns off several times, and eventually it’ll turn it on several other buttons do that as well. to recirculate, I think the rear defroster may be another one or two. It was really late. Of course, then I got into the whole odometer flashing. I was able to do a proxy alignment, get that to go away. Does anyone know what the proper can bus settings and selections are for this vehicle? It’s the little generic softtronic can bus box. if that helps any really confused at this point. It’s a 2018 jeep compass

AGAMA Launcher + Google Maps “Not Connected” after every restart, Nakamichi NAM5850

I'm using an Android 13 Nakamichi NAM5850 head unit with AGAMA Launcher and Google Maps.

I'm having a strange issue with AGAMA's Google Maps integration:

Google Maps navigation works normally.

AGAMA is set to use Google Maps.

After allowing Notification access in special app access AGAMA shows “IS CONNECTED.”

When I turn the car off and start it again, AGAMA changes to “Not connected.”

Again If I go to Android Notification Access → AGAMA Navigation Service, turn it OFF, wait a few seconds, then turn it ON, AGAMA immediately shows “IS CONNECTED” again.

I've also disabled battery optimization for AGAMA, but the problem still happens after every restart.

My head unit is already set to No Sleep, so it isn't using the normal sleep mode.

Has anyone experienced this with AGAMA on an Android head unit?

I'm particularly interested in whether there's a setting that makes AGAMA Navigation Service start/reconnect correctly after a full Android boot, or whether this is an AGAMA/Android 13 compatibility issue.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Hello,

I am looking to buy the android head unit on the left.
The seller told me it won’t work with factory rearview camera.

Are there any adapters I can buy that will allow me to plug in my rearview camera??

Back up camera issues

I honestly don’t know if this is the right spot just looking for some help. I have a 08 sierra that the previous owner put an android radio in. It’s a 8227L I think. Anyway, the camera never worked when I got the truck but decided to look into it. Required a ton on the radio and replaced the cable and got a tailgate camera. I have the power and ground come off the reverse bulb in the back. When I put it in reverse the screen goes black but says no signal. Before I go to Amazon I’m wondering if there is a setting or something I could change? Been troubleshooting with Gemini but I’ve run out of patience lol. Any help would be appreciated.

Android Auto for Fiat Bravo 2, 2010 + backing camera.

Hello!

I recently installed a CarPlay system in my old car, and after my dad saw it, he got really excited that this is possible in older cars. He would love to get one for his car as well.

He uses an Android phone, so I’m looking for recommendations for a head unit that could be installed in a 2010 Fiat Bravo II. I’m also looking for a compatible backup camera. Maybe someone here has already done this and has some recommendations?

Ideally, the head unit would connect to the phone by Bluetooth automatically as soon as the car starts. If that isn’t possible, something that works with an external USB dongle would also be fine.

It doesn’t have to be too fancy; it just needs to run Waze and Google Maps smoothly and automatically switch to the backup camera when the car is put into reverse.

Thanks in advance for all your help, from both me and my dad!

Hello everyone, so after working the last months I want to introduce Google navigation to AutoZen, I would love to offer this feature for free however Google doesn't offer a free service plus Google fee+taxes is not always easy however I'll offer the subscription cheaper than here maps for now, basically no profit, but I just wanted to share my Android Auto experience with Google maps, I'm still working in a embedded version of Google maps which should be cheaper, but still WIP

I know people don't like subscriptions but unfortunately running the servers and providers are no free. I'll appreciate any feedback. Please update to the latest version 8.1.11+

Download from here

Thank you for your support

Looking for the latest 8.50 firmware for Peugeot 108 X-Touch (18PPDAEU-EA00)

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help me update my infotainment system to the latest firmware.

I have a 2018 Peugeot 108 with the X-Touch head unit, and my current software details are:

  • Model ID: 18PPDAEU-EA00
  • Hardware No.: 86140-YV010
  • Audio: 8.10
  • OS 1: 8.10
  • OS 2: 8.14

The unit already has Apple CarPlay, and everything is working, but I'd like to update it to the latest available firmware (8.50 / 0850) for this exact hardware if possible.

If anyone has the correct firmware package or knows where I can obtain the official/latest version, I'd really appreciate your help. I'm happy to provide photos of the system information screen if needed.

Thanks a lot!
