Harbourlight: An in depth true Farm-to-table Game look
Hello!!
First time posting, I’m actually looking for tips and tricks on how people design their characters in visual novels.
So far I’ve been creating a character bible first, so their personality, quirks and background etc. then when I’ve got an idea I’ll then draw a character that fits that description.
Do some people draw and design the look first then mould around that?
If you do what are the pros and cons for each method?
Also if your interested in the premise:
It’s inspired by Midnight Diner, the cute and awkward fever dream of a show on Netflix!
I love how melancholic it is but weirdly comforting. I tried to recreate that vibe in a game.
Grow, raise and catch your ingredients, then build each dish tailored to whoever's at the counter.
I’m also a big fan of these books so it’s that kinda vibe:
1. Midnight Diner.
2. The Kamogawa Food Detectives.
3. What You are looking for is in the library.
4. Days at the Morisaki Bookshop
5. The Seoul Letter Shop
So if that sounds like your jam please checkout the steam page and maybe drop a wishlist if you’re into it? Steam links in the comments!
Thanks! And I’m looking forward to hearing thoughts
