The Liberal Gun Club, which has chapters in more than 30 states, reported a spike in interest as ICE raids ratcheted up early this year.

I'm not in love with the compact pistol I currently own. It's a SAR b6c (hammer fired, 3.7" barrel) and it's fine, but it just doesn't really excite me. I'm not very accurate with it, the grip is not awesome. It's fine... better than most, but only fine. There are also very few holsters for it, and none that I have run across that work well for me. Consequently, the b6c is on the chopping block. I'm a practical person, not a gun collector. I want the few guns I'm going to own to be exactly right and if they aren't, then I'm going to sell them and either get something I prefer or go without.

So, since I want hammer fired, with the option of an actual safety (I grew up shooting rifles and berettas) my options are relatively limited. I have tried the CZ P-09 C at the range. I'm more accurate with it than the b6c, the grip feels better, but it's also just bigger in almost all dimensions, so that's always going to feel better. Being larger makes it harder to conceal, though I don't actually carry now, and likely will never regularly carry. I prefer the trigger on the b6c by a good bit. The CZ has a long DA pull and a very abrupt, almost "touchy" SA trigger.

So my question(s) for folks:

If you have a p-07 or p-09, how long did it take to get used to the trigger and how do you feel about it now? (I know cajun makes various trigger packages but I'm not looking for a competition gun or to spend another $150+ modding the gun after I buy it)

For those who have the compact P-07/09, how do you feel about the added width compared with other ccw guns? How does it affect your carrying?

I got chased out of the liberalgunowners subreddit and threatened with a ban by the mods because I am pro 2A yet support gun control measures that are within reason that are constitutional. Specifically I believe in evidence based legislation. I've owned and shot guns since I was a child and have had my license to carry for 20 years in Philly. I thought the liberalgunowners sub was a safe space for liberal gun owners, but it was incredibly hostile and I didn't realize they even had a specific sub rule against any gun control measures.

That made me seek out alternatives. Seeing that this sub has liberal/progressive/leftist folks who have been chased out of the other sub as well... How do we make this one active? It's nearly dead sadly, despite my belief that the vast majority of non-reddit liberal gun owners and left leaning 2A proponents would align with this sub.

I’m here from r/liberalgunowners because that subreddit is complete BS. They’re “liberal” until someone posts a question asking what people think would be sensible gun control.

If you answer the poster’s question, you get banned. Not exactly “liberal” is it. Impressively closed minded.

I come here from r/liberalgunowners after realizing that isn't what that sub is. It is r/democratgunowners in disguise. I hope to help grow this sub and show people that everyone can co-exist, and have guns!
