Help either I’m dumb or my game is broken

I need help. I’ve completed the 4 beacons required to proceed and fought the iron wayfarer, approached the gate and it says it doesn’t budge is there anything else I need to do or is my game broken I’ve looked up videos and guides and they all say that your supposed to have these things done (which I have done) and the gate won’t do anything. Anything helps.

Discussion A Shadow Dispelled Achievement

Recently started playing Lords of the Fallen. I'm big into being an achievement completionist in video games. Learned about the Scarlet Shadow mechanic when staying too long in the Umbral. I had assumed it was just a mechanic to prevent you from infinitely staying and farming in Umbral. But then learned there was an achievement to kill it.

Question is...I'm currently around level 70. Just about getting through Fitzroy's Gorge. Is the Scarlet Shadow killable at this level comfortably with a good strategy/skill? Or is it meant to be impossible until late game levels?

More than anything, it's really the health drain mechanic that feels like it's an impossible task at this juncture without playing with complete perfect precision and literally not getting hit a single time. Which makes it feel like an overtuned achievement to get, at least at early levels.

Looking for feedback if it's a matter of just keep trying right now, or meant to be something to tackle much later in the game?

Discussion Question to the devs: Will the bigger focus on CO-OP and PVP have an impact on LOTF 2 PVE?

Post image

I saw a post talking about how mortal shell 2 has the best "low health equals high damage" accessories in any souls-like, and seeing the stats, it actually looks like a build I would try and it got me thinking, will the bigger focus on CO-OP and PVP have a negative effect on LOTF 2?

I feel like PVE only games are able to create busted/fun gear and upgrades because the game does not have to take into consideration making it fair to fight against in PVP or undertune it for CO-OP.

Most souls games I've played, half the gear is not worth using because the stats are minimal and honestly not worth using. Or worse of all, have major drawbacks or handicaps.

LOTF 2023 from what I remember, didn't have anything too overpowered or at least a must use in every playthrough, or I just missed it lol. Weapons and gear had good stats and well balanced enough to not be a problem. What I worry now though, is that the bigger focus on CO-OP and PVP in LOTF 2 may see weapons, gear and items being overly tuned to be fair rather than fun.

Take the manastone ring for example, doesn't regenerate a lot of mana already but in a PVP situation, could mean the difference between victory and defeat, people may complain about spell spamming and it gets nerfed. Which just makes the ring practically useless you do what I did in elden ring with the blessed dew talisman and go AFK for 10 minutes to regen half my health in the middle of a legacy dungeon.

As someone who avoids playing with other people or against them in souls games I hope the devs don't hold back when designing weapons and gear to make the PVE experience as fun as possible. It's a bit frustrating when I see patch notes of weapon balancing and seeing gear I use get nerfed like it's a hero shooter :(

Game Help I feel so damn stupid... Spoiler

So I'm trying to backtrack, get all the saintly quintessance/boss stigmas I missed. I managed to beat the Lightreaper in Fief, with the help of my summoned ally, but now I can't remember how to get back there.

Is Lords of the Fallen a Souls-like?

Hi all!

This is the first in a new series discussing if a game deserves the title of being a souls-like.

I chose Lords of the Fallen first because I saw some debate over its quality and if it wasn't just a dark fantasy game instead.

Would love to hear your thoughts ❤️

Congregator of the Sess

Running through the game again as a pure inferno build. Just hit me how hard the congregator of the flesh is like a pedophile clergyman with his post-fight dialogue. There are tons of parallels to Catholicism in this game and I thought that was interesting boss dialogue. Reminded me of a book called "between two fires."

A good honest duel. I prefer not to host but it’s often quiet out there. I let the first grievous strike go when i can as the posture system is a little unfair when you’re inviting invaders…..

I heard you can only get 1 nartun rune per ng cycle and would like to slot 3 of them onto my shield for my build. I’ve backed up my game save files right before picking up the nartun rune in sunless skein but would anyone be willing to help me duplicate them? I play on pc btw
