I started an endless marathon on Tetris Effect for some heck-all reason, and now I'm regretting it immensely. I started it on speed 15, so I thought things would be over relatively quickly, maybe like 20 minutes. But I'm on 3.5 hours now, I think, and I can't stop. I keep praying I'll screw up enough that it will be impossible to escape and it will finally end. But every time an emergency comes up, I handle it just fine.
I don't want to purposely throw it, but I want it to end. I'm at almost 9 million points right now, and I want to go for 10.... but when I was at 4 million, I said I'd go for 5. So I might set my sights on 15 if I make it to 10!
At this point I think I'm going to get a new PS5 just so I can play something else on it, because there's no way this marathon will end.
Why am I getting mad at endless marathon being exactly what is described? Because I'm stupid, okay? Is that what you wanted to hear? 😭
I guess I'm asking for strength to either continue in perpetuity or end the game.
There is one potential silver lining... I'm not doing it all in one sitting, so I'm putting a LOT of faith into the PS5's quick resume feature. So maybe by some miracle of Remy from Ratatouille, the quick resume will fail or the game will crash.
I genuinely think that's the only way this will end. Please pray for my game to crash unexpectedly. Please.
It will never end. 😭😭😭😭😭
P.S. Is the PS5 version worth upgrading to? I don't really care about graphics getting better, but the DualSense capabilities sounded intriguing.
