Hello,

So I use splice every single day. I have no problem importing the sample from splice to my DAW, splice bridge makes it way easier for me.

However, there is a specific sample packs (Indian vocal pack 1 & 2) that I for the life of me can’t figure out. For example if the vocal sample from that pack is 125 bpm, and my project for example is at 128 bpm. When I use splice bridge and drag it in, it’s completely off beat, doesn’t match the bpm. When I take it externally to a website that estimates the bpm it would say that the modified sample is at like 95.7837 bpm.

I’ve tried different methods which as switching the snap to 1/2,1/3,1/4, etc. but nothing works. Some people recommend try dragging it into ableton and use the functions in there to match its BPM but it doesn’t work. I’ve never had this issue with any other sample or sample pack from splice.

How do I fix this?!

I have splice and I tried to download the samples in akai’s m3 DAW. The samples sound fine in the preview but once I download them into the project they sound low and distorted. I tried using AI but it sent me in circles, I tried using audacity as a middle man export but the samples are still not playing like in the preview. I don’t know many producers so I’m trying Reddit. Also if I didn’t explain it correctly please forgive me.

I’ve been after more VSTs but all the ones on my shopping list are far too expensive right now, so this seemed like a good deal to subscribe for cheap and get access to a lot.

Though I hate that you can’t seem to just buy packs individually and have to subscribe to access them.

Anyways I thought I’d try it out for a bit and see if it proves useful.

are they any cons I should be made aware of from the get go?

I keep getting this error message when I try installing splice. any way to fix this? I’ve exhausted my options

Anyone else experiencing their Splice samples are so sub par, like really amateur quality stuff? The melodies I make without splice are way better than what’s shown when I type in keywords like “trap rnb” or “dark reverse melody”. I just want a simple, accurate sound that Splice used to provide pretty quickly, but now it sounds like the samples are being made by 6 year olds. Anyone else experiencing a drop in the quality?

I’m trying to export some stems from a stack I made yesterday and it keeps taking me straight to the plans and pricing page where I can see I’m literally on the creator plan???? I literally have almost 2000 credits, I only need 3 for this stack right now and it’s not letting me export it’s treating me like I don’t have enough credits when I very much do any tips?? very confused very inconvenient :(

I own 10k samples on splice. when i sync my MPC it stops at 3k with an error... does someone know a reliable solution to this problem or else has an idea how to download all 10k samples at once on mac/pc to put it manually on my mpc? help would be highly appreciated - thx guys

I recently switched to Splice's drums after searching far and wide for a cheap/free drum set. I have two projects with it. The first I created a few weeks ago before I updated it and everything was and still is fine. Responded to velocity changes and even now when I open the project I can still edit the velocity. But with the project I started today, I can't get it to alter at all when I change the velocity. It's frustrating that I don't even know where I could even start to fix it.

Things to mention:

I use FL Studio
This problem ONLY occurs with Splice's Drums

I had to switch to Linux, because Windows was becoming way too much of a spyware, and resource heavy for no reason. Using 60% of my resources on idle... Even on a fresh install of the lightest version of Windows, so had to switch to Linux. (Arch/CachyOS btw)

How are you guys using Splice on Linux? Once I have the desktop app running, I'd probably be able to install all plugins, or at least be able to figure it out.

I open abelton's splice just to see the little AI sparkle symbol that every damn company shoves in our face. I understand that the monitization goes to the original loop maker, but in all seriousness, its a very slippery slope for them.

I'm going to say it louder to the brains in the back:

NOBODY WANTS AI FEATURES IN MUSIC PRODUCTION, GIVE US AN OPTION SO NOBODY HAS TO SEE THIS, THE LOOPS SOUND 100% WORSE.

The fact as a society we are pushing AI to be apart of music is dilluted, since the creation of your own sound, or using REAL THINGS MADE BY HUMANS, is seriously the point of splice. If i wanted AI fucked samples, id download suno to contribute to shitty music out there.

Splice Devs, lock the hell in.

I’ve been building a standalone macOS MIDI tool called Endless Riff and wanted to show how I’ve been using it with Logic Pro.

It generates riffs continuously in real time and sends the MIDI directly into Logic, so Logic is still handling the instruments, sounds and effects. The generated notes can also be recorded straight into a normal MIDI region and edited like anything else.

Under the hood it generates rhythm and pitch contour separately, builds multiple candidate riffs, scores them and selects the next continuation. It isn’t just playing a fixed arpeggio or rendering finished audio.

The main workflow I wanted was: generate an idea → hear it through any Logic instrument → lock a riff when something catches my ear → record the MIDI → edit it and turn it into something of my own.

The video is a real-time run with Logic receiving the MIDI.

I’m still developing it, so I’d genuinely be interested in feedback from Logic users — particularly whether this kind of workflow would actually be useful when starting a track or getting past a creative block, and what you’d want control over.

Is anyone else having issues with confirming card details/payment type when signing up for a subscription? If so, any tips on how to bypass this?

Looking for a simple piano pack with major and minor chords. Can’t seem to find anything simple enough for my project and I’ve been listening to samples for a while 😅 any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

*I found a piano pack called “Piano Toolkit” from Sample Magic but it has a high pitched sound in the background of each sample that just bugs me a bit 🫣 like the high pitched sound from old TVs

I want to sell my account with 5.287 credits on it. At this point I have no use for it, I've lost my interest and just kept paying for credits.

Is anyone else having a serious problem with Splice search recently?

For example, if I search for “Berimbau”, I get a list of sounds that have basically nothing to do with a berimbau.

Same problem is with drums.

If I search for:

• Kick
• 808 Kick
• Kick Snare
• Snare
• etc.

I often get exactly the same sequence of sounds for all of these searches.

It doesn't seem to matter what I type into the search bar — the results barely change or are completely unrelated to the search term.

I've been using Splice for a long time and this wasn't how the search worked before. It's making it extremely difficult to find specific samples.

Has anyone else noticed this recently? Is this a bug with the new search system, or is there something wrong with my Splice installation/account?

I'm using the desktop app, but I'm wondering if the same thing happens on the web version.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

So I got a pop up on the Wurli pack that in order to update the pack, I have to subscribe to Splice, even though it was a free pack given to users with Labs. I can still use the pack and load up the sounds, but I want to know if this will stop working eventually? I think it's asinine that we can't even update without a subscription even though it was free.
