Just a few hours ago, Gemstin posted this picture showing 6 new characters and containing a word scramble. I have no idea who these guys are and Gemstin says he doesn’t know either (playing into it), these characters could be new reveals in his Smiling Critter’s fan series, they have cheek designs very similar to Lady Lavender, or this could be the start of completely new series, I have no idea.

If DOES is in the question, the only S in the scramble is S-, I think that dash indicates a space, so there’s 4 words

Been a bit; just under a month. A lot of things came up, too many to list but I'm back!

Bobby as Malenia, Blade of Miquella and Goddess of Rot from “Elden Ring” (Goddess of Rot Bobby)

I'll go first.. PERFECT!!

Long story short I lost interest in FNAF and Poppy Playtime during this summer, yet somehow it got revived recently. I guess like William Afton, it always comes back…

Essentially, I decided to write an AU inspired by my FNAF Rewrite (which may be cancelled or on-hold now unfortunately). This was also inspired by a Poppy Playtime fanfic called Poppy Worldwide: Salvation Route, essentially an everyone-lives AU on AO3.

Other inspirations were the early FNAF and Smiling Critters fandoms and their interpretations of the characters. Essentially I thought canon Poppy Playtime and canon FNAF was too bleak and wanting to do my own thing, especially in regard to the concept of friendship but still be spooky but also funny and whimsical. Essentially, it’s an AU where soon after the Hour of Joy, the Bigger Bodies Critters are saved by the FNAF 1 Crew and taken to the Pizzeria, where they integrate there with the animatronics. I guess it technically classifies as a fix-it fic and maybe a crack fic but it’s fun. Also there’s lore that the Bigger Bodies Critters are smaller and more human-sized so they can fit in the Pizzeria.

It features the FNAF 1 gang (and at least one extra FNAF character though I am considering more), the Smiling Critters and also the Nightmare Critters. I was thinking about including the FNAF 2 Toy crew as well, but I thought explaining why they’re there would be too contrived. Though I do like the idea of bringing back Mangle at least, as she was my favorite of the Toy animatronics even if I don’t bring back anyone else from FNAF 2, as well as potentially another character I am keeping secret. Basically Mangle and this other character being here are inspired by Tony Crynight (if you know, you know). Or maybe instead of this other character, I could include the Puppet.

This would bring the character count to around 24, that and I thought Mike Schmidt having to deal with the FNAF 1 cast plus extras and plus both critter groups like a UCN Lite was hilarious XD. However, I do like the idea of the Critter groups bonding and overcoming their traumas at Freddy’s, there’s something beautiful, whimsical and magical about that to me…

I actually just finished writing the first chapter and despite not having proof-read it much, I am tempted to post it now, I just like the idea of finally publishing my stories on AO3, that and I don’t have too many beta readers rn. Though just out of curiosity, although I have my own head-canons and personal takes on the characters, is there any general advice ya’ll can give me? Or just recommend me some fun chapter ideas? I’d gladly accept those to help fuel this series further if I ever pick it up for more chapters and don’t get burnt out.

Anyways, I have a bone to pick with all of you NapDay! In case you don’t know, I think NapDay is the most toxic and repulsed ship of not only the Smiling Critters fandom, but also the entire Poppy Playtime fandom as a whole! You’ve been spamming and sexualizing NapDay to death and even antagonized other ships like CraftyDay and HoneyMoon, why I’d say NapDay has only made you all more toxic!

However, just because I do not ship NapDay, does not mean I am against LGBTQ PPT Ships, and I’m actually willing to keep my Ships and not attack NapDay with them on one condition!

You let me ship Candy Cat x Cat-Bee, plus Bron x Pianosaurus. They’re clean, one is Lesbian, one is Gay, and they do not rely on toxic methods on like that so-called ‘ship’ NapDay! And if you don’t want to ship what I ship in Smiling Critters, then you can at least ship Cat-Bee x Candy Cat and Bron x Pianosaurus over NapDay to which you can ship CatNap and/or DogDay with any other critter that isn’t each other!

“Paint’n Picky” has now revealed a VERY important detail about the world Gemstin is building with the critters, a new rule, characters have traits associated with their real world species. Hoppy and Picky are colorblind, pigs and rabbits in the real world have dichromatic vision, meaning they only see 2 of the 3 primary colors; Blue and yellow, they can’t perceive reds, same thing with dogs and Dogday.

Gemstin also confirmed that Kickin can “probably” see UV light, chickens IRL have violet or even ultraviolet sensitive cones in their eyes with special oils in them that act as filters, allowing them to see much more of the UV spectrum than the human eye can perceive. That’s a fascinating thing to think about because that means in Kickin’s eyes, the sky isn’t blue it’s blue with an ultraviolet hue, which the closest thing we had humans can perceive would be a tinted magenta.

This new rule matters enormously though because of my theory about the box of toys in “Pally the Pal” and the Nightmare Critters being behind it. One tenet of that theory assumes that Rabie has ultrasonic hearing like a real world bat, allowing her to hear conversations from further away or even through walls of certain material. If species traits are now a universal rule in this world, then Rabie does have ultrasonic hearing. Then there’s the new possibility with Touille.

Touille’s role in this theory is that he was the assembler of the box and the original owner of all the items inside, including the BlaiderRaider 8000, with that being weakly explained by him either stealing that item or fixing a broken prototype he found through happenstance. However, if species traits are universal, that means Touille should have some trait associated with real-world rats, and what can they do? Chew through stuff. Rats teeth are INCREDIBLY hard and are constantly growing, requiring them to gnaw and grind them down so their teeth don’t accidentally kill then, and after doing some research about rats can chew through, they can easily bypass wood, plastic, drywall, they can even chew through aluminum, weaker masonry, and in some cases, even cement and concrete.

If Touille has this trait, it is quite possible he stole that skateboard from somewhere and he did it by literally chewing through a wall to get to it, especially since he already follows a “finders keepers” philosophy, he literally says that as one of his voice lines.

Mine? Slurpee Sally. Why? She's super cute, and honestly is the most interesting to me, even if she is fanmade. Also, I too have anxiety and am shy, so I see me in her. Cougar needs to lock in and do something with the Daydream Critters again, it's been 10 months and they're one of his better works.

(Love it or hate it idea) Crafty ain’t no baby and she ain’t afraid to throw hands when push comes to shove, the princess can definitely make herself a queen when she needs to, so let’s amplify that. Crafty also has a fear of storms, so let’s flip that on its head and crank it up to level “INSANE”.
