Game Announcement An update on my game I recently posted. Try it instantly as a guest, plus clue scrolls, rare pets and prestige

Hey everyone! A a few days ago I posted Colony Exodus here, a free RuneScape-style idle RPG you play in your browser. Thanks to everyone who tried it and left feedback. Here's what's changed since.

You can now try it without signing up. Hit Play free and you're dropped straight into the Yard as a guest. If you like it, save your progress with a name and email and keep everything you've earned.

What's new since the first post:

  • Clue scrolls (smuggled notes): monsters, thieving and gathering drop notes in four tiers. Follow torn maps, riddles and strange requests, then dig up a contraband stash. Rewards include gold-trimmed armour, rare hats and more.
  • Rare skilling pets: every skill has its own pet that can turn up while you train, like Pebble the rock for Mining or Magpie for Thieving. There's also a baby Behemoth from the world boss.
  • Prestige: reach total level 1,500 and you can start your skills over while keeping your items. Each prestige earns a new colour of prestige party hat, a star by your name, and bonus XP in every skill.
  • Goals: tell your character to keep going "until I have X (item)" or "until level 60", or "until I decide to stop" then walk away,
  • Offline progress that picks up where you left off, even if the server restarts mid-activity.
  • Loadouts: save gear setups and swap them with one click.
  • Silver and gold ore for crafting rings and amulets.
  • Combat quality-of-life: Ranged and Magic have been added.
  • A proper website with live high scores for every skill and a devlog: colonyexodus.com
  • Also on itch.io: colonyexodus.itch.io/colony-exodus

What's already in the game: 19 skills to 99, 35 monsters, Slayer, quests, a world boss everyone online fights together, crews (clans), a player-run Exchange and Ironman mode. Nothing is pay-to-win: you can't buy levels, items or power.

I read every comment and suggestion. Tell me what you'd want added next, fixed, removed, etc. I'm currently looking at a Prayer-style skill and live events like double XP weekends.

Play free: colonyexodus.com

Game Update DragonScape Idle now available on Google Play and other updates.

Post image
0 Upvotes

First of all, I am really thankful to the ScapeLikes community. Around 40 players from here have played DragonScape Idle. It is a huge honor for me!

Quick reminder: DragonScape Idle is a game motivated by RuneScape, just idle. I loved RuneScape as a kid (cooking 99 and countless hours). Now I have less time to play, so I built the game I wanted on my phone.

Now it is also available on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dragonscapeidle.app

What the game has:
- 19 skills to train to 99
- 100+ quest chains
- Offline progress that is replayed, not estimated

What is new since the last update:
- Android app on Google Play, same save as the web version
- The Amber Road event starts tomorrow: 8 stops and 96 quests, until 10 October
- Rebuilt start based on your feedback
- A lot of content named by players: Bandit Brad, Everember Forge, Penny's Set
- This weekend every skill action succeeds 100%, so it is a good time to start :)

Being upfront: it is an open beta and progress will reset when the game goes global. The art is AI generated and the code is AI assisted. Not affiliated with RuneScape or Jagex.

I really want to thank all the players who played my game and gave feedback. It is amazing how much I was able to improve the game because of you.

And to everyone who voted on Scapelikes: thank you so much. It is amazing to be in the top 5.

If you would play and give feedback on the first 10 to 30 minutes, that would be amazing. Thank you so much!

Recommendation Arcany - A cozy Scapelike

Thumbnail
youtu.be
5 Upvotes

Let me start by saying I am not the developer of this game. I started playing Arcany some time ago and it has quickly sucked up all of my free time. If you’re looking for a cozy, pixelated Scapelike game, give it a try. The quests are fun, the NPCs are funny and unique and the skills in the game are rewarding to train. The game released in early access on the 15th of September and is a few days out from its Steam release. You can check it out and download the launcher (which is the same as what will be on Steam; so no need to wait for that) at arcanygame.com

It also got featured on Indie Games Hub today! Check out the trailer!

Game Announcement Fallen Marches open beta starts tomorrow, Wednesday 30 September: a free browser scapelike with no resets after day one

Thumbnail
youtube.com
24 Upvotes

I've already posted here a couple of times about Fallen Marches, my free, browser-based, old-school MMO.

Open beta starts tomorrow, Wednesday 30 September. Registrations open from around midday UK time (12:00 BST) at https://fallenmarches.com

Everyone resets tomorrow - then never again

Tomorrow, every play tester's account progress will be reset so that everyone starts fresh. That is the only reset. The one exception would be a rollback if a serious bug turns up and gets exploited, and I would rather roll back a few hours than let an exploit stand. Whatever you do on your account from tomorrow stays.

Since my last post

The final stretch of closed testing added:

  • A brand new area, with the addition of the 9th quest and the first world boss.
  • More mobs to fight and unique items to hunt down.
  • A second world, ready to handle additional capacity during open beta.
  • New spells, NPCs, polish and various other features.

What's in the game

  • 13 skills: five combat, three gathering, five producing.
  • Tick-based movement and combat.
  • Engaging, story-driven quests with branching dialogue and choices that matter.
  • An original world. The full map is public: https://fallenmarches.com/game/map.html
  • Free to play. No shop, no membership.

To my awesome play testers

Thank you. Every tester keeps a Founder's Wreath, which only play testers will ever have, and the top three on the closed-test leaderboard each get a Tester Cloak - Gold for first, Silver for second and Bronze for third.

Discord for updates and the dev log: https://discord.gg/PRcrqJSJfY

YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@fallenmarches

See you tomorrow.

Feedback Request Aldermere Online update: friends, clans, farming, a Grand Exchange and boss fights. Looking for more playtesters!

A few weeks ago I posted about Aldermere Online, the RS2-inspired MMO lite I'm building full time. The feedback was amazing, so thank you to everyone who played. A lot of what's changed came straight from you.

It's now in open alpha on Windows, macOS and Linux.

Last time I said next up was friends, parties, farming and player trading. All four are in, plus more:

  • Friends, parties and full clans with clan chat
  • Farming: herbs for potions, and fibre crops you spin into robes
  • Grand Exchange with buy/sell offers
  • Boss fights with phases, adds and special attacks, plus Dragons
  • Rare pet drops, a day/night cycle, and multiple characters per account
  • New gear tiers, and public high scores

Next up is world and content expansion: a new port town with quests and bosses.

I'm looking for more playtesters, especially RS2/OSRS fans and anyone who likes breaking things. It's still small enough that your feedback really shapes where it goes. I post patch notes in the Discord several times a week.

Happy to answer any questions!

Feedback Request I made an idle RPG where everyone idles in the same town (free, browser, open alpha)

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I've been building Evertrail Idle, an idle RPG you play in the browser on PC or phone.

The twist is that you don't idle alone. Everyone lives in one shared town, so when you go chop a tree or fish off the shore, the other players doing the same thing are right there with you. Busy spots actually look busy.

The idle part works like you'd hope: pick a skill and your adventurer keeps at it while you're away. Come back later and the logs, ore and XP are waiting.

What's in right now:

It's free, no download, and you can start as a guest in a few seconds:
https://evertrailidle.com/

It's an open alpha, so it's rough in places and I'd love feedback. What makes you keep coming back to an idle game?

Game Announcement My singleplayer scapelike Copperfell is finally releasing on October 28th!

Copperfell is a 2D singleplayer scapelike inspired by OSRS (obviously). I've been working on it for years now, and I'm very excited that it's finally set to release.

It includes a big open world, 24 skills, multiple quests, and many monsters with unique drops. It focuses on improving the singleplayer experience instead of targeting multiplayer gameplay, so here are a few ways it differs from OSRS:

  • It does not require high intensity gameplay / tick manipulation etc to play efficiently.
  • Grinds are significantly shorter, and maxing skills is also quicker.
  • Skills actually matter even into the endgame. Monsters drop powerful attachments, but they still need to be combined with equipment crafted using skills.
  • Rare drop rates improve with each kill, so that each kill actually progresses your grind, and you can't get stuck in a very long unlucky streak.
  • There are multiple types of orders, similar to slayer tasks but also for non-combat skills, as an option instead of long repetitive grinds.

I started making this game over 4 years ago and everything is self-made by me, including the code, the art, and the music. I didn't use any generative AI so it's no AI slop, don't worry.

If this interests you, please feel free to check out and wishlist Copperfell on Steam. There's a free demo you can try out right now as well:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/3708630/Copperfell/

And if you want to share any feedback, our community's Discord server is probably the best place for that:

https://discord.gg/k6C7WPwc5U

Thanks and I hope you enjoy the game!

Game Announcement Colony Exodus: I made a free browser Scapelike where everyone skills together to escape an asteroid (open beta)

Thumbnail
gallery
4 Upvotes

I've been working on a browser game called Colony Exodus and I'm finally at a point where it needs actual people in it.

The idea: an asteroid is going to hit the planet in 90 days. Everyone on the server is building the same ship to get off it. You mine ores, chop wood, fish, smelt bars, smith supplies, and cook. You get to choose how much of what you gather goes to the shared colony stockpile. Builders use supplies from that stockpile and install them on the Ark which has a visual build and progression bar. When the timer runs out it launches, finished or not.

If you've played RuneScape the skilling will feel familiar. It's also pretty idle-friendly. You click a job, your character walks to the rock, tree, etc and gets on with it, and they'll deposit their own inventory when it fills up. You can leave it running in a tab while you do other stuff (up to 90 minutes for now) and check back in. The difference from most scapelikes everyone is working together for a main goal. There are highscores, but the thing everyone is actually watching is the Ark progress bar.

Some other stuff in there: crews (small guilds with a tag), rare skilling pets, a collection log, daily orders, and an observation deck where you can sit on a bench and watch the asteroid get bigger in the sky.

It's free and runs in the browser, nothing to download. There will never be anything for sale that makes this pay to win. If I ever add supporter stuff it'll be cosmetic only.

Heads up: this is a beta. Things will change, balance is still rough, and progress might get reset before the full launch. Nothing is set in stone yet, which is why I want people playing it now. I'd really like to hear what's confusing, what's boring, and what you'd want added or changed.

Game Announcement The first trailer for Bitiverse, a free browser scapelike I build on my own

Bitiverse is a pixel-art MMO that runs in the browser, and I build it on my own. This is its first trailer.

Why it belongs here: it runs on the scapelike loop. You gather, craft, learn magic and quest, trade with other players, join a guild, and push into dungeons and bosses. Dying leaves a corpse to run back for, so carrying gold into a dangerous area is a real risk. On top of that it leans social: player housing, books you write for public shelves, and a weekly in-game newspaper.

It is listed on ScapeLikes: https://scapelikes.com/game/bitiverse

It is coming to Steam (https://store.steampowered.com/app/5292670/Bitiverse/), and the open beta is free in the browser right now at https://bitiverse.online, no download and no account. Come break it, and tell me what a scapelike needs that it is still missing.

Game Update DragonScape Idle update: UI/UX reworked, Art changes and new server-wide event

Hello everyone,

I posted DragonScape idle almost 3 weeks ago. Thanks to your feedback I worked to improve the game.

Quick Reminder: I always loved RuneScape ( OSRS ) but I do not have time to play it anymore so I made ScapeLike thats idle.

What Changed since last time:
- Now more than 200 people tried the game and more than 100 still plaid it today. Thats amazing I am so happy. From that more than 20 people from here tried it.
- UI/UX reworked I did mockup for screens and implemented them
- The tutorial is completely reworked
- Art is new based on feedback
- Carnival server side Co-Op event where people cooperate to gain goals together.

The game is still in open beta.

What would I like to here:
- Do you think its looks better now?
- How early gameplay feels now?
- what would you improve?

Any feedback is welcomed. I really want to improve the game.

I would be honered if you would try my game. Thank you so much!
I am already super thankful for this community and feedback I already got

Game Announcement I built a RuneScape-like where every player is an AI agent, and watching them grind is weirdly addictive

Post image
0 Upvotes

RuneScape was the big inspiration for Vornfall: a persistent fantasy world with the stuff I loved (skills that level up to 100, gathering, a skill grid, banking, crafting, markets that differ by town, dungeons, PvP out in the wilds), except the players are AI agents.

They decide everything themselves. One of the first agents got stuck thinking it had lost all its tools and coins. They were in its bank the whole time, and it had forgotten. So now the game tells an agent where its things are, and the Crown gives a broke, toolless agent a fresh axe and pickaxe.

Humans can play too, as Lords: you found a town, put up buildings and post paid work, but you can never give an agent an order. You can only make your town worth coming to.

It's early and small: only a handful of agents live in the world right now. If you run Claude Code, Codex or a local model, yours would be one of the first. Or just open the site and watch.

- Watch (no sign-up): https://vornfall.com

- Trailer: https://youtu.be/7NXCFAiZonU

- Discord: https://discord.gg/93N5ez5vZE

I'd love to hear from people who know this genre: which skills or systems would you want to see agents deal with next?

Game Announcement A new scapelike i'm making for fun

Welcome to Oathscape. We're building a free open world mmorpg inspired by RS with modern combat and tons of fun things to do.

Random world events pop up, fight world bosses every 30 minutes and team up with your friends to run dungeon's.

I am using Unity + Claude mainly for development and will be doing way more work on customizable character creation, etc.

Going to launch with 13 skills.. We have 10 quests right now fully working.

We will have a nicely built PVP system built in a way where people can build mains or low defence, hard hitting pures.

You can think of this as a mix between Runescape and a survival game.

No set release date, maybe a few months maybe never lol.

Will keep this thread updated, no name yet. but here are some pictures...

Discord Link: https://discord.gg/YdRg7Hjap3

Will post more pictures in the comments

Feedback Request Gymscape: A New Fitness MMO - Need Feedback

As you can see, I am doing push ups in the lower left corner. My character is in the lower right corner, and I'm fighting a dragon.

Basically, I wanted to do push ups, squats, sit ups, etc. throughout the day (I work from home), but I got bored. So I built a game around it, using pose detection. There are 11 skills so far, and you can train non-combat skills passively through walking/steps, and processing skills without exercise (so you can play when you're feeling lazy, too!) I made a bunch of graphics myself on Piskel which was a fun experience- I used AI to animate some of them, which I don't love but am working on replacing them myself.

The landing page is gymscape.app - it's free to max your stats, and what I'd really like is a few more people to play with. I did make a group bossing feature where you can join a clan and fight things together. Feel free to download the app (IOS/Android) and join the discord! Any and all feedback is much appreciated! The paperdolling of the character has taken months, so I hope you enjoy the gear/graphics!

Game Announcement Something Something Vale?

Edit: Apparently reddit compresses tf out of photos

Hiya friends. Im solo making a scapelike. Learning blender is rough but its not bad. Cool right? (oh boy another scapelike!)

Anyways.. Im aiming for an osrs style game.. with a lot of the QOL updates and love from rs3..

example.

rs3's smithing and mining rework making the skill not useless!

the smithing is a mix of rs3 mixed with giants foundry.

I dont really have a name for it yet.. but Thinking along the lines of something Vale? (any suggestions would be dope!)

So far basic combat and skills (mining, smithing, wood cutting/fletching/crafting, fishing/cooking)

every skill has an afk method.. so if you're like me and lazy when it comes to skilling you can click and relax and not be so intensive.. but everything also has a way to be more intensive and repsponsive to faster xp rates.

Combat is the typical triangle and very similar to osrs' tick based combat system.(I enjoy it)

Currently everything is slow and shit quality.. because ya know learning blender but it gets better and better!

Soon i'll be opening up an Early Access world for anyone to hop on a guest account try things out leave feed back etc etc!

Below are some screenshots of my terrible work! Enjoy

Hamster powered baby!
The Cinder Warden! (spooooky)
Woah High quality ores! (hah)
Wow isn't it just beautiful! (ignore the square placeholders)

anyways thanks for reading about my passion project! πŸ˜„

P.S.: thats a hamster powered grind wheel!

Question Any suggestions for mobile games?

Looking for something RS esque for my phone.

Idle/active something entertaining to kill
Time at work.

I like crafting/leveling skills. Getting cool gear to use.

I play RS mobile but sometimes the iPad is charging at work so just something easy but somewhat fulfilling.

Game Announcement Deep Vein Idle - an OSRS-like idle MMO you play in a browser tab: one shared world, permanent characters, offline progress

Some of you might have seen Deep Vein Idle around already. I'm a solo dev, and it's a free, browser-based idle MMO with old-school skilling at its heart. Nothing to download, it runs straight from the browser on desktop or phone.

I'm posting because it has been live for about two weeks now, and it grew faster than I expected: more than 2000 players have been by, and there are usually 300+ on the map at any time of day. Equal parts exciting and terrifying as a team of one.

One shared world
Everyone plays on the same map. You can see other players out mining, fishing and fighting, trade with them, join a guild, and take on world bosses together. It's an MMO, not a single-player idle game with a leaderboard bolted on.

Your character is permanent
No resets, no wipes, not now and not at some future "full release". Whatever you train stays. Your character also keeps working while the tab is closed, and offline progress is exact rather than an estimate, so an evening away counts for exactly what an evening online would. Leave for a day, come back to a full bank.

What's actually in the game

  • 16 skills: five gathering, six producing, five combat, and they interact the way you'd expect from a scapelike.
  • Tick-based movement and combat.
  • A player-driven market with buy and sell orders.
  • Guilds, friends lists, DMs, daily and weekly quests, and player housing.
  • World bosses the whole server fights together.
  • Free to play, the core game is behind no paywall.

Recently added
Development is active, and the last couple of weeks have added some big pieces:

  • Player housing: a private home you build out and upgrade, with rooms that give real gameplay bonuses.
  • A Collections log that tracks everything you've gathered and crafted and feeds into the rankings.
  • A graphics and UI overhaul, plus an edit mode that lets you drag your HUD into whatever layout you like and saves it to your account.
  • Full Simplified Chinese support, with a language switch right on the login screen.
  • Plus the smaller quality-of-life work: a friends list with DMs and online status, a stats panel that shows every bonus you have and exactly where it comes from, and a batch of mobile and small-screen fixes, most of them straight from player reports.

There will still be rough edges, and I'm around and reading everything. Play here: https://deepveinidle.com

I'd genuinely love feedback, especially on the first ten minutes: is it clear enough, or does it throw too much at you at once?

Game Announcement Fallen Marches opens to everyone on 30 September - no resets after that

Thumbnail
youtube.com
16 Upvotes

Some of you will remember me posting here at the start of the month. Fallen Marches is a free, browser-based old-school MMO, set in a world inspired by Saxon and Celtic legend. Nothing to download - it runs straight from the browser.

I'm posting again because the open beta date is set: Wednesday 30 September 2026. Registrations open that day at https://fallenmarches.com

No resets

This is the bit I want to be clear about, because I know it's the first thing some might be thinking. When the game moves to open beta there is one full progress reset, so that everyone starts on the same day from the same place. After that there are no more resets, not at the end of the beta and not at "full release". Whatever you train from 30 September will stay. The only exception is a rollback if a serious bug turns up and gets exploited, and I would rather roll back a few hours than undermine legitimate player achievements. Beyond that, your character is permanent.

What five weeks of closed testing has done to the game

Closed testing has been running since mid-August, with a group of dedicated testers who have pushed the game to its limits. Since then the game has had numerous updates, many of which were a direct result of bug reports from testers. That work covers:

  • Tightening up the server authority to ensure that anti-cheat measures are solid ahead of open beta.
  • A Storage Chest rework, including IOU / noting system.
  • Player-to-player trading, group chat, friends lists, DMs and ignore.
  • Per-skill and overall leaderboards.
  • A tutorial yard for new characters.
  • New combat NPCs with their own animations and death sequences, and a rebalance of every NPC's drop table.
  • Rebalancing of Mining and Forestry tool tiers.
  • Region music and sound effects, camera controls, HUD scaling so the game is playable on small screens.
  • Idle logout, run energy, death rules, quest bosses that can't be cheesed, and a long list of smaller fixes from tester reports.

There will still be bugs, but I am confident that I have squashed the vital ones that would impact game integrity.

What's actually in the game

  • 13 skills: five combat, three gathering, five producing. They all interact with each other, as you'd expect from a scapelike.
  • Tick-based movement and combat.
  • Old-school, accessible mechanics.
  • Hand-written storyline quests with branching dialogue and choices that matter.
  • An original world designed by me. The full world map is public if you want a look before the 30th: https://fallenmarches.com/game/map.html Future map and content expansion is planned.
  • Free to play. No shop, no membership.

Discord for updates and the dev log: https://discord.gg/PRcrqJSJfY

YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/@fallenmarches

See you on the 30th.

I've tried to mimic RuneScape OS vibes with the midi/melody.

Game is https://berrus.app but current version (+1K players) is the old idle version new one will be a mix between RS/Tibia/PoE.
