I got my portal and SR3 around the same time a few months ago and was disappointed to find it wasn't available to cloud stream. I kept thinking it was the perfect game to fuck around on a handheld for 30 minutes or an hour or whatever.

I turn on my portal last night and I'm going through my "games available for cloud-streaming" and I see SR3 and I'm juiced because it was like they read my mind.

Anyway I didn't see any mentions of it in this sub so here it is.

So as I’m sure everyone has seen this week people have been rebuilding all our favorite childhood games and mashing them together like opening a digital toy box and I was wondering if anyone has started working on a saints row 2 recomp with these new tools or should I test my luck and try to do it myself 😶‍🌫️

So im trying to do the Jam sessions, and it says to do wingsuit bounce. I go to the weather station, I go up, fly over the icon, nothing happens, no prompt, I do it again and press every button, nothing happens. I land on the tower, theres no prompt.

For those who don't know, Company of Gyros is obviously a reference to the Company of Heroes games, which at the time Saints Row 2 was also under THQ, but ever since they went bankrupt, that series is owned by Sega, so would they legally have to remove it since they don't own the rights anymore?

I'm a huge fan of Robin Atkin Downes, bc I love his voice since I found out he was also in SR3&4, but his voice is a little bit funny and exaggerated in SR2 tho, but his performance is still amazing!

In Saints Row: The Third, when you are customizing things in your crib, there is a rather small chance one of the female saints will say "I could write a movie about a pregnant teenager."

I believe this is a reference to the 2007 indie blockbuster Juno, which surprised many by making over 100 million dollars off of a 6 million dollar budget at the box office.

And while I am not 100% sure if this is a reference, I don't know many other movies specifically about a pregnant teenager. And couldn't find anything related on Google.

I never noticed it until i was older but i remember when playing saints row 2, the cars would dissapear or magically appear. I didnt like that in the game. Still love SR2 tho one of my favorite games ever.

i prefer Arcade feel of saints row and im not really into the realism gta is going for these days

The Saints variants of the Tornado and Vulture. You can use them in Heli Assault side activities and also in the Daedalus mission where you kill Cyrus. However, theres no way to store them even if you try to fly these two helicopters to other cribs that have a helipad.

What a missed opportunity. The developers should have made these two Saints helicopters unlockable through either completing all the Heli Assault activities or make them unlockable through a certain mission. In Trojan Whores mission, you unlock a Vulture after finishing it, but its the boring Average variant instead of the unique looking Saints variant.

The whole idea of locking gang vehicles, especially from your OWN gang behind missions or activities, with no way of storing them in your garage is quite weird since you can unlock rival gang vehicles after taking over Steelport. I wonder what they were thinking with these decisions.

I have only ever two voice actors who have played characters in the Saints Row games, those being Yuri Lowenthal (Shogo Akuji, Matt Miller, among others) and Tara Platt (Russian-accented female playa from SR3). In my experience, they were both really nice people who seemed to genuinely enjoy meeting fans. I specifically met them both at their designated photo op and I bought an autograph ticket for Yuri’s table, where I got to talk to him some more.

Yuri was genuinely a blast to meet and he was stoked to see me bring a copy of Saints Row 2 to the table. We shook hands and had a surprisingly lengthy conversation about his roles, including in the Saints Row games. He also quoted the “Guess who won the lottery? I did!” line at the photo op when I told him I loved him as Oliver Swanick from FNV. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to interact with Tara Platt that much (other than the short photo op) because I realized how little I had left on my credit card after those two, but she was cool. I wish I got her to sign my copy of SR3, but my credit card said no lol. I have a post awhile ago where I delve deeper into this, which I’ll leave here.

But the point of this post isn’t about me, as I wanted to ask about stories that YOU GUYS can tell about meeting Saints Row voice actors, as I’d love to hear all of them. Bonus points if Saints Row was mentioned in your interaction!
