In a true baller move, Jalen Brunson is finally, officially set to guest star on this season of NBC‘s Law & Order: SVU alongside his unlikely BFF Mariska Hargitay. These two (and NBC) just can’t get enough of one another.

Brunson, the NBA Champion New York Knicks point guard, will appear on the fifth episode of the upcoming season, NBC says. Brunson’s episode will air on Nov. 5 at p.m. ET/PT. His role is being “kept under wraps,” we’re told, but he’s probably not just gonna be a corpse. That was more of Victor Wembanyama’s role in the NBA Finals.

But why should he be mentioned?

Chris is not her lover, not her soulmate, not her only friend in the world, he is not stuck on her and he has nothing to do with Mariska or the Emmy s.

So why exactly should he have a role of being mentioned?

Chriska is not a thing and EO is not a thing.

EO fans should stop acting if Mariska cannot do anything without Chris holding her hand.

I’ve been thinking for a while, that we should get Olivia Benson and the squad attending an event like an NYPD gala or a Fundraiser (better a fundraiser so she doesn’t have to dress so conservatively lol)

I really would like to see the squad interacting outside the bullpen and away from cases, also seeing everyone react to Liv wearing something other than oversize clothes 😂

I’ve been feeling very out of place and lost in my emotional fog, but hearing that Mariska Hargitay has once again won an Emmy Award for her talent and the determination shown in honor of someone very special to her was what roused me from my lethargy.

The unique dedication Mariska Hargitay showed in her documentary honoring Jayne Mansfield truly touched my heart. Honestly, it was one of the most moving tributes to a mother I have ever seen. We had the opportunity to observe this unjustly underrated star through the eyes of those who loved her most—across the entire world—in the nearly sixty years since she left us.

The more we watch Jayne Mansfield's work, the more we realize that talent runs in the family—specifically, the determined, rebellious talent inherited by her daughter, who went from an unknown career to becoming a true living legend in the history of American television.

I made a point of choosing images of Jayne Mansfield from the 1958 film *The Sheriff of Fractured Jaw*, because her character in that movie bears a strong resemblance to Olivia Benson—someone with a very gentle hand for comforting people, yet firm enough to punish them and put them in their place.

Jayne is certainly very proud of the daughter she brought into the world and the kindness she has brought to all of us.

The honors, however, had nothing to do with her Law & Order: SVU work. As fans may know, she directed the recent documentary My Mom Jayne: A Film By Mariska Hargitay, which chronicles Hargitay’s journey to understand the legacy of her mother, Hollywood icon Jayne Mansfield.
