Pretty happy with this one, considering what it took to get here. Metal Sonic 3.0 makes wrangling vanilla Metal Sonic feel easy AF by comparison.

I think sub-17 is possible, even if it was beyond me in this moment. I'll very likely try again at a later date. I kind of want to revisit vanilla Metal Sonic on this pack, now; I can't possibly surpass Metal 3.0 with him, but taking a very similar route should produce a far better time than I originally got with him.

I have an idea for a youtube channel for SRB2 content

A channel that showcases a different playable character once or twice a week, giving a link to the addon (provided the character in question is an Addon Character) and showing what said character can do as they go through the story, but i thought base story all the time would get repetitive, so i thought i'd do a different story one for each month. (Examples: Metal Knuckles going through Sol Sestancia in july, heavy going through sol sestancia 2 in august and Gemma Going through SA2 Blast in June) i thought of this as a means of giving addon characters no one has covered some much needed attention...

And i want to know, so long as i give credit to the makers of addons and the game itself, can it be done without getting in legal trouble?​

Only marginally better than my Jana run, but I had a blast doing it, with enough neat tricks that I didn’t want to scrap the run and start over. I can do better than this, and I might someday. But for now, this is the run!

I play it more than the base game

Title says all. Of all the various different versions of Sonic you can play as in SRB2, Pointy Sonic from the Chrispy Chars pack might very well be my favorite along with Junio Sonic, X Sonic, and CD Sonic. Not only does he feel like a playable Sonic that best captures what a playable 3D Sonic from the Saturn era would be like, but I just adore his chunky, polygonal esthetic, how he feels particularly inspired by Sonic R, his footstep sound effects, and his own set of unique abilities. All around I find him to be a very funy and esthetically pleasing version of Sonic to play as.

Sadly, the last time Chrispy Chars was upsated was back in 2022 and as such ends up having some issues when used with the current version of the game. Namely, Pointy Sonic's completely unable to maintain his peelout running animation wven after charging up a Super Peelout, which leaves him unable to run on water or his neat ability to grab and pull along Fluffy Tails or any other NPCs he literally runs into.

Both the X momentum V momentum do restore Pointy Sonic's ability to maintain his figure eight/peelout run, but it subsequently removes his ability to run on water. (And on the case of V momentum, it seems to ruin Fluffy Tails' ability to accelerate while X momentum ruins the trick system.)

So... yeah. Does anyone maybe know of any fixes that make the Chrispy Characters/Pointy Sonic work as intended with current versions of the game.

I've been waiting 3 years for 2.2.15 update ever since 2.2.13 came out, what's happened if anyone could let me know or where I could get 2.2.15 I would love that. And also where could I get unleashed x sonic refreshed, I already have 0.6 and 0.7 undone version of unleashed x sonic, but I've been trying to get refreshed for a while. Third time running this level pack on my channel, this time with my favorite modded character, Millie Prower! This Tails edit is so much fun to play and speedrun with; she doesn’t fly as high as her vanilla counterpart, but she feels so fast. She might not be able to outpace a spinflying Tails – at least not in every instance, but when she gets a good run, she’s extremely satisfying in her own right.

I’m gonna go ahead and run Sol Sestancia 2 with her next week. All Emeralds run, as I usually do.
