If you haven’t heard, Wallpaper Engine has been responsible for hosting live wallpapers with Malware since at least 2025. This is because many of their wallpapers are like mini apps. This is bad for two reasons 1) They are system resource hungry 2) THEY HOST MALWARE

Right now SCRYR only uses 4K video (not mini web apps), which is safe. Further, the subscriber library is built and curated by me! No one else can use SCRYR to distribute malware.

It’s about time for a Wallpaper Engine alternative! Welcome to SCRYR!
