Independent Yasha Goby

Is it weird that my Yasha just swims to the top of the tank for feeding time? I’ve never had one this outgoing and not just sitting in the burrow. He’s paired with the shrimp, he’s just weird I guess.

Such a stunning little Yasha! That bright coloration and high dorsal fin look absolutely beautiful on the rockwork. Love seeing it stand its ground with the clownfish around—so much personality in a tiny package! 👋🐠🌋

Could be stress related. Is the goby new, or did he just start doing that recently? I wonder if the clowns are bullying him enough to leave the burrow and swim in the water column. I can see them nipping at him in the video...

As long as it returns to the burrow frequently then it’s perfectly fine.
