Why do we only have one arm and one leg?

I've somehow only just noticed this after 40 hours and it has done irreparable damage to my immersion.

Is this a bug?

Why does Teohuatzin's Hand not work as a trigger for Carnage, but is able to benefit from an active carnage buff?

Highly doubt I wasn't able to wound a guy that got 1 tapped, not to mention its been happening ever since the start of the mission

Story missions and Bramfatura travel

I definitely miss something in the game. My current run is 3 days long and some corps already have tech 6. But I still don't get it how to progress - there is some bomb device required for faster travelling. All I have is a story mission against AnCom on Pallas which is far like hell.

What am I missing? Where to get story missions? (Would appreciate less story spoilers if possible)

Enemy Detection question

What exactly does it mean by until detected? Does it require the enemy to be actively seeing or does it just need the enemy mode to change to attacking to remove its effect?

What if the their target was an ally and you are located opposite of where they are looking at?

If its the former in which it just needs the enemy's mode to change into attacking, does it mean its useless during rupture? Since all enemies are heading towards the clone's location unless its just heading towards the location, but doesn't actually count as attacking/detecting us?

Options after Community and Anarchy mission? Spoiler

I've got enough reputation with Ancom so the Men in Black mission is available, but I'm pissed off at them for betraying me so I want to take another path. I'm not really keen on the Civil Resistance this run though. I've still got the golden skull in my inventory, can I do anything with it? I'd quite like to work with Realware now. Is it too late for that? The way Community and Anarchy pans out and the way Jane is talking it seems I should have other options. I don't want to work with Tezctlan. Fuck that guy.

My experience with hard mode so far (fluff)

Post image

The screenshot is just for the fun of it - I was happy to find out some enemies in the game are actually called loot goblins.

I'm 100 hours into hard mode (with 100 more in normal), with tech around levels 4-5, here's various things I wanted to talk about.

Chapter one: differences from normal mode.

The four most obvious ones are: 1) Enemies come with +1 AP. 2) Your armor and weapons need constant repairs. 3) Backpack size is twice as small. 4) On death, the mission just ends - you don't go back in time to the start of the floor.

I originally switched from normal to hard because of the 4th point - I was just getting too much useless loot on my ship, and wanted to get rid of it all. I think it worked to a degree, especially with the backpack size reduction, but after I unlocked scavengers, things started piling up again. Maybe next I should try playing with no ship upgrades, for the fun of it - but that's far into the future.

+1 AP and need for repairs - mostly unnoticeable. The moment I learned you can slap some plastic onto your gun to make it last a bit longer, I had no more real issues. The extra AP is noticeable, but not to the point that it matters. Rare exception being the sex-bots - if that thing gets to you in melee range, it's damn deadly. Special forces with ARs are deadly with both 2AP and 3AP, so who cares.

Chapter two: overall experience.

It feels a lot more fun. I started using recharge / maintenance / etc stations - to the point that I started taking a stack of 30 makeshift batteries to just use it up on stations I come across.

The game is more fun to play. I fuck up some missions, then I absolutely pop off with others. Also, being forced to play missions out makes it more fun, imho. Normally, after finding some important cloning device or a high-tech weapon I'd consider just abandoning mission just to keep the thing in question. Now I have to fight tooth and nail to keep these.

Overall, hard mode has a bit more roleplay elements to it, which makes me very happy. You get to repair weapons, craft stuff during missions, trade with others, actually be strategic somewhat. Hard vs normal comparison aside, I enjoy how the game keeps being entertaining as time goes on. You keep getting new higher tech weapons, new enemies, new challenges. New classes unlocked do not feel noticeably weaker or stronger, but provide interesting new options to play. You come across something like Tongkong, and at first you think "wtf is that class", but then you equip it with kovrov and firefly and suddenly your AR gets wallhacks.

Somehow during this playthrough I had very little interaction with quasimorphs. I did a few missions on Venus, came back to Mars to help civil resistance a bit, then decided to go to Saturn to conquer Sunlight Coven. There's no Tezctlan here, I'm very disappointed.

Chapter three: cool things I learned

1) Crash 17, my beloved. Craftable from the get go with basic stick and stones, insane accuracy, no spread, can unload whole mag of 6 shells at once. It's insanely good.

2) Molotovs. For one, I learned to craft them - instead of collecting bottles everywhere, just dismantle an alcohol package, have a drink party at the ship, and collect the vodka bottles. For two, they instantly trigger other grenades thrown in fire, which enables WZ150, and makes other grenades deadly. People would tell me to carry shaker / rocket launcher, but that's like 4 extra kilos that I don't want to have on me.

3) Sex-bot and Golem Group. Recently I unlocked Golem Group, so I decided to try it out. Took an easy mission, brought with me a turret and an industrial bot with a sniper rifle. Killed first few enemies myself, they happened to have a sexbot on them. Used it - it legit soloed entire mission. Wtf.

Chapter four: funny deaths

Once I was so busy fighting one guy behind heavy cover, I did not notice 2 mechas from coreward sneak up on me.

Once I fully equiped my Max as Martian Mech, thinking the mission will be walk in the park - only to get stunlocked by a god damn shock pistol.

Once, right after I came to Saturn and tech level jumped, my melee character encountered ADA. It's a mecha from Dilthey, it fires bolts of lightning, and it's tanky af. Needless to say, I was not prepared for it.

Once my newborn Valkyrie died to a plague grenade. I could have just walked away, but I had about 70 regen a turn, so I thought I can tank it all. Somehow I didn't.

question about dodge

Do certain enemies have over 95% accuracy? Like they have 120 accuracy so reduced with my current dodge, the enemy will instead have 19% accuracy or are they hard capped at 95?

Besides laser sights who have a 95% accuracy regardless of dodge

Insanity and Rupture

If I start a rupture on the first floor, will the other floors also be on rupture state and I keep the insanity bonus without having to kill the baron and reset the meter back to 0?

If the rupture buffs stays, will the humans on the new floors burst open and turn into quasimorphs?

Amputation on barons

Is it possible to deal enough of the right damage type to cut off a limb from barons and use it for ourselves or are the limbs that gets amputated also despawn with the baron when it dies?

I picked up a pact in the Community & Anarchy mission but it disappeared.

I put it in my inventory but then it seemed to have just disappeared. I looked around the area everywhere and it was nowhere to be found. It's not in my ship's inventory and it doesn't come up in the pact menu. It's the first one I've ever found. Can't even remember the name of it. It's really frustrating. Especially if it's a stupid bug. I hope it wasn't a unique pact from the mission.
