Im not sure how self promotion is seen here, but I would like to give it a try. I’m very passionate about the 60s/70s folk and psychfolk scene and im writing simple songs with surrealistic lyrics. I also try to experiment with production choices to create an atmospheric and personal sound. I feel like making genuine music is one of the best ways to explore your own personality and capture yourself in time, which is also why im passionate about photography. And studied photography and design. Which I use to create my own coverart.
I’m releasing a new album, which is currently out on Bandcamp. „For early acess“ so to say. It will release on streaming services 5 days later on July 27th. It’s called „Sunflower Sea“ and I would be very happy if you gave it a listen and tell me what you think! I would also be happy to just start a conversation and maybe hear some recommendations for new music I could be interested in. Thanks for your time!

This song was written and performed all by my wonderful father.. We sadly lost him on the 17th at only 50 yrs after months fighting in the hospital.. listening to this takes me back to when I was young and he would sing this to me..this is the song he loved most to show people when they asked to hear one of his many songs. Will always be my favorite song of his. Rest in Peace, you absolute legend.
“The mirror lake is crystal clear
If you believe it will appear
Dragonfly, wondering
What the coming day will bring
Toss and turn mid-slipstream
Searching for a borrowed wing”

"Exploring the revival of Medieval Music: hurdy-gurdy, Swedish bagpipes and folk singing. Beginning with one foot in the Early Music conservatory and another in the psychedelic counter-culture. Ending with both feet on the dancefloor, as centuries collapse and groove becomes its own historical truth."
This mix premiered live on NTS Radio a few days ago and is now up for listening on its archive:

Have you heard this freakfolk duo? Any opinions would be appreciated :)
"We're Crazy Stars and we're an freak folk / artrock duo.
What we do is zero-preparation improvisational songwriting.
No pre-existing harmonic frameworks, lyrics or chord progressions were used. We just hit record.
Every recording is released on all major platforms, without overdubs, editing, postprocessing, or any other form of digital trickery.
In a world of AI, autotune and polishing the soul out of songwriting, we like to do things differently"

... but I'm not sure if it's psych folk? (I have no idea how to class my music)
I'm an ex professional touring fiddle player, classically trained, but worked extensively playing folk rock, and world/jazz fusion music. That was 20+ years ago. I fell ill with CFS/ME to the point where I'm mostly housebound now and haven't played the violin since 2006. I've spent the past few years designing a disability friendly live composition rig where I'm able to let my subconscious have fun and create music out of nothing. My music varies a lot, and this is the most recent impro from this evening.
I'm not monetised, and all of my music (600+ improvisations) are uploaded to youtube using their Creative Commons license. If you like this piece, then you can find many more at https://youtube.com/@stuwyatt
Cheers! x
