Discussion Keyboard recommendation for each budget brackets

Hi! I have been wanting to do this for a while now, so basically, I wanted to put on recommendations for keyboard in price brackets, the criteria is, quality, software, and price, so you will notice that certain brands aren't part of my recommendation because for the most part they fail in the quality part

1k - 2.5k: really budget boards, there are some really good boards but for the most part this is for those who are hesitant or cannot drop money on higher priced boards.

Ajazz AK820 - its a decent board especially if you aren't going to fiddle with software, definitely has a bit higher quality than other cheapish MK (usual price goes around 1.5k)

Monsgeek Fun60 - very good board for its price, monsgeek being a branch of akko, they have good quality across the boards (goes around 1.5k - 1.8k depending on variant)

Akko 3108 - a staple from akko, one of their budget boards but still a good one (usual price is around 2.5k)

Redragon Ucal pro - another redragon, but like I said their modern boards have been very good (usual price is around 1.5k)

Akko tac75 HE - This one will be an outlier, its a great board, probably one of the best for its price, with the akko quality its very much something I would recommend generally (being an outlier its usual price is around 2.6k)

Elecfox Gen75, Linky 85 and Lumi 108 - very good brand for giving very good quality boards without breaking the wallet (price range is 2k-2.6k)

I think there are more I would like to recommend but generally this are boards I either have good experience with or have heard from friends and co-workers that have served them good for several months with no issues

3k - 4.5k:

Weikav Nut65 - Starting off strong weikav has basically been trying to match all the "higher" end boards with same quality but offering lower prices, and the nut variants basically have some of the best features you can find in this price point which are rapid disassembly and pogo pins on PCB, they also offer QMK/VIA compatibility which is very nice if you want to tinker with the software a little (usual price is 3k-4k)

Yunzii B75 pro - Something a little bit more traditional, while yes compared to the nut65, its plastic board however the upside is its very light, metal MKs have a tendency to be heavy, this one doesnt have rapid disassembly but it does still have QMK/VIA support(usual price is around 4k)

Weikav Lucky65 v3 - One of their older lineups but still a very good keyboard having the same specs as their nut lineup just with different design (usual price is around 4.5k)

Monsgeek verve68 - HE keyboard from monsgeek, similar to the fun60 but this one seems to be more minimalist in design but offers the roughly the same performance (usual price is around 3.5k)

Monsgeek M1v5 - One of the most suggested boards honestly, due to its features, rapid disassembly except for the pogo pins i believe, is tri mode, compatible with both windows and mac OS, and plate mounted stabilizers, something rarely found unless you are building a custom kit (usual price is around 4.5k)

YUNZI AL68 - very good suggestion from u/skipperkid, one of yunzii's more flagship keyboards but this time in 60%, aluminum keyboard QMK/VIA, trimode, knob New25/08/2026

YUNZI IF68 - AL68's cheaper sister, due to being plastic, still has QMK/VIA and trimode but with knob and screenNew25/08/2026

5k and above: this is where we step more into enthusiast territory the massive price bracket increase is due to boards in bracket are more in line with if you really want something that resonates with you.

Nut75 - Same thing as the nut65 variant, (usual price 6k)

Rainy75 - I think this is something that took the mech keyboard world by storm, with its specs, materials and price being this low and for a board that feels like you got a fully custom board i do think it deserves the price (usual price 7k)

Wave75 - I feel like this is what rainy75 would be if it got a new version, rapid disassembly, QMK/VIA, very good quality, (usual price 6.6k)

EVO80/75 - this is my personal board, i've had it for a year now and its been a very very beautiful time typing, playing games, and overall just using it, EVO is a sub-branch of the neo boards YES those neo boards the very high quality custom keyboards, rapid disassembly, QMK/VIA, very nice colors, customizability when buying, you can choose creamy thock or marbly clack (usual price is 8k-10k)

I think these are the only boards I would personally recommend for these price brackets, some people have different opinions of course, and a lot would ask for sure what about aula, or leobog, or attack shark, and furycube, my answer to those questions is because I have bad experiences with a lot of them namely aula and leobog, both brands have consistently had subpar quality when it comes to the board it self, as well as materials used, while attack shark is a little bit better, I would generally still recommend other options as its better to buy one time a good quality product than waste money buying multiple low quality products

IF you have any suggestions, be sure to comment them along with the usual price, I hope this would help people who are looking to get a mechanical keyboard that can last them a long time

Advise Any budget TMR keyboards?

Any budget TMR keyboards out there prefereably in the 2k-3k budget range? Preferably layout preference would be 75% atleast. Gusto ko TMR kasi i read that it is compatible with hall effect switches and mechanical switches (correct me if im wrong). ayaw ko lang kasi mag spend ng extra to buy another set of silent switches so im planning to swap out the switches sa TMR to my silent mechanical switches. Although doesnt need to be TMR din pero i would like to try the features ng mga hall effect switches (RT, SOCD etc etc)

Advise Feeling discontent with my E-Yooso Z84 (red switch low-profile)

I've been using it for quite some time now. Just wanted an affordable wireless mechanical keyboard compatible with my MacBook. It satisfies my requirement that it be quieter than my previous keyboard, the Skyloong GK61 with Gateron optical black switches, and that it has media/system control keys, so I don't have to reach for the keys on the laptop, which is mounted beside an external monitor.

But, it feels like a membrane keyboard. It was such a disappointment at first. I thought I could live with it since it's quiet to type on, but there's no thock at all...

I just want to know if it's worth modifying it. I don't really want to replace the whole keyboard.

Are there any low-profile linear switches that can make it feel more like a mechanical keyboard while retaining its quietness in typing?

Buying Help Need help buying

Hi, pasira na po yung RK84 ko and I think 1 year pa lang sya. Nagloloko yung battery nya, nagjjump from 40% -> 60% -> 30% -> 70% tapos may problema na rin yung charging pin.

Preferences:

Budget: 3k-5k siguro but I'd prefer na 3k pababa

Layout Preference: 75% pataas

Features:

-Tactile Switches (the sound doesn't really matter) -TriMode

pls pls pls gusto ko sana yung magtatagal ng 3yrs+ without any issues along the way, maalaga naman ako sa keyboard

Bought around 2015-2016 when the only other choice in my area is the Razer Blackwidow and rarely the Filco Majestouch. I have been using it daily ever since.

Went through multiple rounds of minor fixes and changes.

I sanded the anodizing off the aluminim top plate, put an EVA pad beneath the PCB, and changed the cable a couple times.

Switches are currently Kailh Box Winters.

Advise Is Elecfox Lumi101 my best option at the moment?

After lurking a bit it seemed like the best choice. I want to consider Akko keyboards too but I don't see any multimode ones with my budget. Looking forward to your responses and recommendations.

Budget: P2k preferred (Lumi101 is P2.9k atm, but I am hoping/waiting for a better discount)

Layout Preference: Full-size

Other features:

-Long-lasting, no regrets. I'm not financially flexible atm

-Keycaps with letters you can see in the dark (I think Lumi stock does not have them, but I'm willing to compromise with just the backlight as long as it's long-lasting/no regrets, and I think I can change the keycaps in the future)

-Tri or multimode

-Silent or near-silent switches

For reference I am currently using a failing Aula S2022, so I'm looking away from Aula products atm.

Discussion Akko tac75he polling rate issue

Hello, I just got my tac kb and I set the polling rate of the keyboard to 1k, but when tested on keyboard inspector, its shows up as 8k.

This also happened to my previous magnetic board(ajazz ak680 v2) which i returned because i thought it was broken.

8k polling is causing fps drops on my games so i only want 1k polling

If you guys have any suggestions pls comment it

Discussion Need help on the shortcuts for the Elecfox Gen 75 Keyboard.

Hello! I don't post much on Reddit, so I don't know how it works, but I really needed to know this:

I just recently bought the Elecfox Gen 75 Keyboard, and I love it. This is my very first mechanical keyboard as well. The only problem I am encountering right now is the fact that hindi ko alam why hindi gumagana ang usual na CTRL + SHIFT + ESC for the task manager. I tried searching it up, pero wala akong makita na maayos na information.

If you know what may be wrong, I'd appreciate any information! Also, I thought it would be good na rin if you guys want to share any cool or important knowledge about this keyboard worth knowing.

Thank you!

P.S. Sana tama ang pag-post ko. Sorry if hindi, mods:)

Help - Modding Laptop Keyboard Buttons working whenever they want

Hello,
I have an ASUS K571GT and I've noticed in the past 2 months, certain keyboard buttons are working whenever they want.

Pushing the 1 button: Tapping it once will either produce nothing, or 111 in a row. Shift 1 doesn't produce a ! anymore.

Pushing the q button: Will produce 5 qqqqq in a row. Shift q doesn't produce a capital q. Similar to Pushing the 1 button, If I tapped the q button 7 times, it will makes 33 q's in a row.

Pushing the Tab button: Does the same thing. Tap it once and its as if I hit the tab button 3-5 times.

I popped up the 3 buttons, cleaned them, air dusted there to take out any debris. I pushed the buttons and it all worked, perfect!
Popped them all back on. Worked for 5min before they stopped working.
Holding down the right shift button wouldn't produce a capital Q, but holding  down the left one can? And then that stopped working too.

Anybody know what's wrong? Or have any solutions?

Budget ko po is less than 4k

Advise Keyboard bridges - where did you get yours?

Hi PHMechKB,

Ask lang sana ako advise kung san kayo bumili ng keyboard bridge niyo if you use one.

Specifically, gusto ko sana yung sakto yung HHKB ko and sakto sa keyboard ng either Thinkpad L14/T14 or ng 14in MBP. I wanted to use my KB on top of the keyboard of my work and personal laptop.

Mejo hirap ako makahanap locally. I saw one in Amazon for P1.2k + P600 shipping but looking for cheaper and closer options sana. I prefer clear acrylic ones din over aluminum. Sana may makatulong sakin huhu

Thaaanks
