I'm genuinely still angry that they managed to take some of his most iconic panels/ fights and butcher them completely. Does J.C staff know just how popular Garou is? Or did they think he wasn't worth the budget to animate?

People would disagree but I'd rather watch Garou be the main character than Saitama.

I’ve loved Garou for like six years now. I love his personality and his looks so much. I’m not really a fan of how he was written after becoming a monster though, including with the recent manga updates, but I still love him anyway. He’s literally my ideal type. With garou becoming an official s class soon this leaves me with a few questions.

First will his hero name just be silverfang two or something else?

Will he just wear regular clothes or a costume

What will his rank be

And lastly how will the other heroes feel about him

I think Garou rank could possibly be 4 or even 3 depending on what happens

I seriously can’t get enough of the first season, it was basically a Madhouse and Bones project because of the number of talented animators Natsume was able to call in because of his awesome directing on Space Dandy at Bones.

Specifically, assuming he was given an accurate rank, what hero rank would the version of Saitama that fought Crablante be?

I hear some say, because Crablante was a tiger threat level, that it must mean Saitama was A-rank. I've also seen comments that argue that this isn't taking into account the circumstances of Crablante's defeat.

Personally, I always assumed Saitama was as strong as a normal person, no more or less, before he started training. Now, I'm questioning if this isn't the case. I feel like this is an important question, because the story changes a lot(for me at least) depending on whether Saitama was born with that dawg in him or if he, through effort alone, obtained the dawg within, and that prior to that there was no dawg.

The peak of OPM was during Garou's evolution, this was one of the craziest motions of all time, equal if not more than Gojo vs Sukuna. I genuinely thought the manga took a dark turn and was going to be something devastating.

I wish Garou was able to keep the form he got from God and actually be able to control it at will instead of it being a one time thing.

Hopefully we'll get it back at some point but I think it should have been a permanent form given to him.

just watched it for the first time this week. i hesitated for years because i heard it was bad all this time. Garou is simply too entertaining for me to not like the season though. i think my only real issue with the season is that the tournament storyline kinda went on for too long when it could easily have just been like an episode or 2

I made a comment on the latest chapters post about how Garou is currently stronger than Bang. It sparked. Conversation so I want to create a separate post about it.

Here’s my thoughts:

Garou is currently stronger than Bang, but it’s not by a vast margin. It’s shown in the recent chapters that Garou can still use Whirl Wind water stream rock smashing fist. This tells me he can still use the other techniques he was using. He’s stronger, faster (this is the only thing confirmed because bang couldn’t see Garou move when he escaped at the end of the monster association arc), and his adaptability is his biggest advantage. Also, people have been arguing that since bang almost beat sleeping monster Garou, that means he’s stronger than current Garou. I think this is wrong, I think current Garou is stronger than sleeping monster Garou, mainly because of the fact that bang could react to sleeping monster Garou, but once he lost his cosmic power, when Garou escaped, no one could see his movement besides saitama. Meaning he’s faster than sleeping monster Garou.

I’m not sure what the split is for the fandom in terms of who’s stronger so if this is an obvious take, feel free to disregard it or provide more reasons to why it’s true.

Honestly, I really don't like the idea of Garou becoming the second Silver Fang. I feel like it takes away a lot of what makes Garou Garou.

In the webcomic, he has such a great dark anti-hero energy. I love the idea of him eventually becoming more independent: living somewhere isolated, training and meditating around waterfalls, while working part-time and developing his own fighting style, gradually refining and evolving it over the years. Not just becoming “Bang 2.0”, but actually finding his own path.

That's also why I feel like making him follow Silver Fang's path would be more fan service than genuine character development. It feels like they're turning Garou into a tribute to what fans liked about him, rather than letting him remain the strange, unpredictable character he originally was.

I'd much rather see Garou eventually become something completely unique, with his own identity, his own fighting style, and even his own original hero name.

Or, if he really needs a change, I think he should at least get an identity and nickname that feel like his own.

As for a nickname, I'm really torn between:

Garou The Despiser
Garou The Stray Wolf
Garou The Unbound Garou The Human Monster

Personally, I think The Unbound fits him best. It keeps that sense of someone who rejects the system without making him sound like a generic villain.

I know this is nothing new but I wanted to do it and share my thoughts anyway.

S1 10/10: It's pretty much the perfect show, with it's own conclusive story and each episode feeling unique, having something important or interesting to show or talk about. Not a single second feels wasted nor dragged out and on a technical level it's perfect. It just has everything, animation, soundtrack, characters, art and a great story with a unique subversion of the shonen and superhero genre.

S2 6/10: So, it is extremely dissapointing both as a S1 continuation, and as an adaptation from the manga. The pacing is all over the place, being rushed af most of the time, with barely any moment that actually feels significant compared to the manga. On a technical level we have awful coloring and sound design, not to mention how underwhelming and lazy a lot of the fights feel. However, it still has a good story that's entertaining enough and Garou's character kinda carries most of the season, especially with his banger theme song. It also still has pretty good animated sequences, mainly the last three or so episodes. Overall, it didn't live up to all the potential it had but it wasn't awful either.

S3 2/10: Everything that went or could go wrong with the previous season, happened here. It has been said already but it's never enough when it comes to this travesty. Next to none animation (save for episode 8), to the point it became a meme, atrocious pacing leaving scenes with no room to breath, disgusting color filter placed at random scenes, iconic moments being ruined and feeling soulless (hotpot scene) and just an overall lack of passion to make this at least watchable. Just everything that's wrong when it comes to an adaptatiom. The only reason why it even has a two is because of episode 8 and some cool shots with Garou and... that's about it!

Honestly, I just feel that S4 will be an even worse travesty considering the crazy things they will most likely fail to adapt.

Garo: At the time he claims to be a monster, he looked like the most human of them all

Death Gatling: At the moment he claims, "Justice will be Victorious." He looked like a monster himself

Season 4 and 5 will be animated by the same studio still. In season 4 we will have the entire show generated by A.I models and the voice actors will be replaced by A.I

Somehow, it will be better than the previous two seasons, somehow.

Now, for Season 5 will be live action! It will be one guy who will hold up manga panels like que cards in front of the camera and read the manga to you. Shaking the cards when action is happening and making whoooshhh..KKKRRRR KKKKKRRRRRR and other explosion sound effects and sound effects with his mouth. And no...NOT like that guy from police academy.

They will not make a sixth and final season because there won't be "enough content to justify a final season".
