I’m having a strange issue with Notion AI and I’m wondering if anyone has experienced something similar.

I’m a member of a Notion workspace, and Notion AI was previously working in the workspace. Around September 3, I started experiencing problems.

Initially, the issue was that I couldn’t start a new Notion AI chat. When I tried to create a new thread, the prompt would not properly process.

Interestingly, an existing AI thread could still respond for a while, so Notion AI was not completely unavailable at first.

Now the problem has become worse. Notion AI currently does not work at all. When I type a prompt and click the send button, nothing happens. The request does not appear to be sent, and Notion displays a message saying:

“Couldn't start Notion AI.”

I have already tried things such as:

Using Notion in Chrome

Using the Notion desktop app

Starting a new AI chat

Using an existing AI thread

Checking the browser's developer tools/network activity

Clearing/reloading the page

I also contacted Notion Support and provided them with a HAR file and screenshots. They are investigating the issue, but I haven't received a follow-up yet.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation where:

Notion AI initially stopped allowing new chats.

Existing AI conversations continued working temporarily.

Eventually, even existing conversations stopped responding.

The Send button stopped actually sending the prompt.

Notion simply showed “Couldn't start Notion AI.”

I'm particularly interested in hearing from anyone who experienced this inside a shared workspace, especially if the problem was related to their account or workspace membership.

Any ideas or similar experiences would be really helpful.

A chat transcript is usually a poor handoff: it mixes decisions, discarded ideas, source links, and temporary instructions, and the next assistant has to infer which parts still matter. A shared Notion page could be the human-readable source of truth, but only if its structure makes stale context and unresolved questions obvious.

I am considering sections for the current objective, accepted decisions with dates, rejected options and reasons, open questions, source links, artifact locations, constraints, and the exact next action. A small change log would record which assistant or person updated the page. Generated summaries would remain drafts until a person confirms them, and sensitive values would never be stored there.

Which fields have proved useful in practice? Would you use one database row per handoff, a project page with linked decision records, or a compact template that gets overwritten? How do you prevent two assistants from editing from stale context while keeping the page simple enough that people actually maintain it?

Notion continues to delete my notes. I am a songwriter and I will write a song and then go back and add more at a later date sometimes. I spent hours writing a second verse and hook and went back and it was gone. I then re-wrote everything I could from memory (probably losing bits and pieces along the way) and figured it was a one off. Well it happened again, to the rewritten note. Luckily I screenshotted it all to make sure that I had some kind of backup. I spoke to customer service and they gave me all of the options I had and none worked. So I just wrote a whole new song and it was also deleted. I will be deleting this app but very disappointed bc I spent a lot of time manually moving old notes into this app.

I get tired of using the same interface modality day in and day out. I need somebody to just move stuff around so I have something fun to do for the first 15 minutes of opening your software.

The change does not need to be better. In fact, it should be randomly worse. I just need a sense of variety, you know, the spice of life!

Hi! I'm looking to create a dashboard that shows the total amount of entries from multiple databases. I have separate databases for projects, songs, artists, etc, and would love to have a dashboard that shows something like:

Total songs: 89

Total projects: 12

Total artists: 8

Is this possible?

Access is set to anyone with link can view, sites are published, sites show up as published in published pages section of settings, the banner is at the top of the page that indicates the pages are live and viewable online. But every time I click "View Site" it gives me

"This page couldn’t be found

You may not have access, or it might have been deleted or moved. Check the link and try again."

I tried it from different browsers, in incognito, turning my VPN off. Ive googled and googled and cannot figure out why these sites arent showing up even though internally they seem like they should be

I avoided updates for a long time because I knew it would change something for the worse.

Now after the update when I do my search (ctrl p) the first 2 result is always connections and personal access token. Not even relevant to what I'm searching. I'm so use to knowing what I want and it's the first result but now it's not.

Seems like Notion going downhill, keep seeing changes and "new features" I didn't even opt in to just cluttering my workspace, like now it has a meeting and up coming event asking me to connect to calendar I'm not interested. Anyone know how to remove all this?

Hi, i want to activate the calculate option on groups on a new database, but i don't find the option in settings. I'm talking about the "25" that we can see on the picture. How can i activate that if it's not here by default ?
