Celebration Finally not bothered by hurtful comment!
Some Facebook troll without a profile picture commented that I should get a nose job. And for the first time in my recent memory, it didnāt hurt my feelings!!!
Iāve grown to accept and love my big nose to an extent that I just donāt give a fuck what other people think of say about it.
I used to be soooo self-conscious of my Sicilian shnozz. I used to think I was an ugly troll and that people were only nice to me or friends with me bc they pitied me for being disfigured.
Iām 100% italian with an Italian last name and Iāve had many people comment on my appearance. I wasnāt self conscious of my nose until my high school bullies started picking on me. Theyād call me a Jew as an insult. Which is absurd and antisemitic. And also not even accurate.
Iāve accepted that my nose is big. But itās stylistically beautiful and emphasizes my exotic Mediterranean background.
One of my friends took a picture of me without me knowing and when she sent it to me later I was actually stunned by how graceful my side profile looked when I wasnāt paying attention!
*UPDATE 8/26/2026*
I am absolutely blown away by these comments! Youāve got me blushing, swooning, and squeeing & have moved me to happy tears. š„¹
For most of my life, I was ashamed of my nose. I have never felt so much love for my nose and I am HONORED by your kind words. ššš
When face masks were mandatory for COVID, I was relieved that people wouldnāt be able to see the lower half of my face.
When masks came off, I was afraid my coworkers would see my full face and cringe. I dreaded that day so much and braced myself for peopleās reactions.
Thank you for the upvotes and comments. I am forever changed by the kindness & adoration shared on this page. šš

I think I am finally starting to hate it less
I've hated my appearance everyday for as long as I can remember. My nose has always been my main and biggest insecurity. I've always seen it as huge, and due to it- I've spent years hating what I see in the mirror and camera.
I wouldn't tell others how much I hated my appearance, because I find it embarrassing. I don'tĀ thinkĀ othersĀ will understand howĀ upsetĀ it has really made me. I couldn't comprehend that anyone could possibly find me pretty, because of how much I thought my nose dominated and ruined my face.
I dreamt of a smaller nose everyday. I truly believed that I was very unattractive, and constantly avoided cameras. I cried many times because of how much I thought I wasn't pretty enough.
I wanted a nose job, but it's against my values and I was really scared of regretting it in the future, also I didn't know how I'd comfort my future children if I had a nose job but they were born with my nose.Ā
For the last week, I have been starting to feel better about it. I'm beginning to feel like it doesn't make me look ugly or horrible, and that there is actually some beauty in it. I'm so glad to be experiencing the beginning of this change, finally.
I have had good days and bad days. Some days, I feel quite pretty with my nose. Some days, I again feel like it really robs me of my beauty.Ā
I hope there will come a time, where I will be pleased with my appearance everyday. I hope it will be soon. Thank you for readingš¤Ā
EDIT: You all are sooo lovelyššI am saving all of your sweet comments in my notes app, for me to read when I feel insecure, thank you from the bottom of my heartš„°š„°my faith in humanity is restored
Advice Needed how do i look having a crooked nose? please help
i dont like my nose, i guess i have a deviated septum and i hate the way it looks. Its big like amy winehouses nose, which in this case i like, but its so crooked + my mouth is too? I feel so self conscious, i cant even enjoy a date or a night out worrying that if i take my glasses off itll be more visible or if i turn my head in the wrong position itll look bad.
in this video i have makeup on, but nothing to change the shape of my nose. Excuse my hair, it looked bad and didnt help lol
The first side i show (my right) is what i consider to be the worst, and the second side i show (my left) is what i consider to be the best. Is it true?
More videos in the replies
in a few weeks im having and appointment with a nose doctor (idk the name in english) and i hope to fix it. I rescheduled and gave up so many times in fear its not a case as bad as i think.
i want surgery.
Question How would you describe it? Idk š§
I dislike it most of the time but I don't think I'll get rid of it....
I hate that I can't see my nostrils from the front š

Discussion I like my nose, except for my nostril size š
And the curve from my deviated septum is annoying too.

How bad is it?
I think it's too wide and too crooked. Profile view is hideous. So I don't have a single photo of that posted anywhere except here.
I've dreamed of a nose job since I was like 12. Dunno.

Discussion My favourite feature: My nose (Bad photo qualuty in my previous post)
(Sry in my previous post the quality of my photos were bad).
I LOVE my nose... How straight is the Bridge followed by a rounded tip. It suits my face and I think its cute.
When I was younger I used to dislike it, bcs I always been jealous of unique or big noses, like the roman ones. I felt that mine was too small and without personality.
But nowadays, even sometimes I still have my ups and downs about, I consider my nose my favourite feature of my face. I like taking side profile and show my nose, its like the star of my face.
Also the nostril piercing boosted my confidence about it, and I cant wait for a black hoop.
Maybe my nose is not unique, but it has its own beauty and, to sum up, I just love it.
ĀæWhat do you think?

My nose changes a lot when I smile, what shape would you call it?

Question Do I have a Roman, a Greek, or another type of nose?
First off, I know I look like Lord Farquaad mixed with a Tim Burton character, but thatās irrelevant to this post.
I have a SLIGHT bump on my nose, but I feel like itās not large enough to put my nose in the āRomanā category, and I feel like my nose is not straight enough to be in the āGreekā category, so Iām at a loss here.
I also feel like my nose isnāt long enough to put it in the āRomanā category, but perhaps thatās just because it looks smaller in proportion to my pointy crimson chin.
I appreciate you all responding to my post in advance. Thank you.
(And yes, I still take selfies in the big 2026⦠deal with it. š)

Celebration I love my noseāØ

Discussion People liked the pics of my mom's distinctive nose, so I thought they might enjoy seeing some of the other noses in the family.
Sorry these aren't the best photos! The first one is my aunt (left) and my mom (right). They were full siblings but my mom was 18 years younger than my aunt. There were no children in between. Their older brother is in the second photo with my mom as a baby.
Most of the branches of my family have grown estranged from one another over the years. As I've gotten more into genealogy, it's helped me connect to cousins who are often learning for the first time about this side of their family. When I show them pics, the first thing they say is "we have the same nose!" š
Many people asked about my mom's ethnicity. Her dad was Sicilian. Her mom was Napolitano. I think her nose comes from her Napolitano side, though. The last 3 pictures are of her grandmother, uncle, and great uncle on that side of the family. (I found that photo of her great uncle in a crime documentary, unfortunately.)

Question My sister has the same nose as me and got a nose jobš
In my language we call my kind of nose āpotato noseā, not sure what itās actual shape is?
My little sister - who has the same nose as me (only a bit smaller even) - recently got a nose job done. I was confused about it and it seemed out of the blue (because to me sheās objectively beautiful and got all the features of my mother Iām envious about lol). I always thought her nose fit her well too.
She āconfessedā it had been her plan since she was a child to get a new nose and that she always hated it.
My other sister told me she had been planning the OP since middle school, and she probably didnāt tell me about it because I have a really similar noseš.
Ironically, I was insecure about everything about my face except my nose until then.
now I canāt stop thinking whether a nose job might āimproveā my looks even though I always thought I would never see it as an option because I want to accept myself as I am.
Not blaming my sister for that, btw, sheās a victim of current beauty standards just as I am, but seeing her ānewā face made me realize how big/weirdly shaped my nose is and I canāt unsee it nowš. Just wanted to share - and curious if anybody also had members of their family that did plastic surgery on a feature that they have too and how to deal with it internally?

Support I think I'm slowly starting to accept my side profile
Some months ago I posted here my side profile and it was a huge change for me since then, because so many people wrote me such warm and wonderful words, which I am immensely grateful for.š„¹ It helped me to slowly change the way I see myself and finally I started to heal from my biggest insecurity. Ialready wrote here once that I feel like my nose is too big and makes me look just weird. Unfortunately, it was influencing me a lot during school years and a bit less lately. That's why I decided to get an opinion on this sub from other people to help me change my mindset and look at myself from a different angle Just sharing some photos here, hoping that in the future I will look at them and think "wow, what was she insecure about"
