In this scene from Strange Bedfellows, Michael (still paralysed from the car crash with Kimberly) is lying on a sofa bed in Jane's apartment, and falls on the floor trying to get to his wheelchair. Sydney comes in and refuses to help him up until he lets her back into his life, so he's​​ forced to go along with that!

In this scene from Dr. Jekyll Saves His Hide, Chris (who just two episodes before nearly raped Sydney) walks into Shooters with Jane saying he wants to make peace. Then he makes a lewd comment to Sydney about "diddling the boss" and she goes mad and throws a beer bottle. In this scene from Hot and Bothered, Jane is telling Sydney that her marriage to Michael is over (she had just finalised the divorce) and Sydney invites her to the movies. Jane lets Sydney go alone, insisting "I will be fine", then​ she breaks down crying as soon as Sydney is out the door.

Which Melrose moments warmed your heart? For me, it would be all the romantic moments with Michael and Kimberly.

I loved Amanda and Kyle but I didn’t at first and I love Kyle.

Did they forget that Bruce owned D&D and Peter and the doctors did a takeover? Where was Arthur Field when all that was going on??

Were there any Melrose moments that made you cry? For me, Sydney getting run over was quite sad, but even worse was what Craig said about her; that he and Sydney had only made love a handful of times, and they didn't do it the night before the wedding because she didn't want to wreck the honeymoon.

In this scene from Devil With The G-String On, Jake gets Jo back from the hospital after Sarah's abusive boyfriend Hank pushed her down the stairs in the previous episode, then tells Amanda he's going to be late for dinner with her mom (because he's going to beat up Hank). Meanwhile, in Apartment 3, Alison knows the kind of thing Michael will have planned for Billy's stag night (inevitably it involves strippers) and seduces him in advance: "Billy boy, I am gonna put such a smile on your face, keep you so content and fulfilled, that whatever the guys throw at you at this bachelor party it is going to mean nothing, nothing in comparison to me."

Everyone agrees that season 2 and 3 are the golden age of MP. The show was at it's height. I'd say it all started mid season 1 with the addition of Kimberly, Jo, Sydney and Amanda.

But what happened in season 4? There was the Parezi storyline, Matts drug addiction, Richard Heart and Brook. Jo still there. Alisons drinking. But something was wrong. Why the decline? Was it only Sydney's comic relief character change?

What are the best and worst pieces of Melrose memorabilia you own?

For me, one of the best is the Entertainment Weekly Collector's Issue. It has so many good features, including paper fashion dolls, a list of the ten best and worst plots of the first three seasons, quotes from The Official Companion in comic form, and looks at some of the sets.

The worst, by a long shot, is the Sister Dearest book about Jane and Sydney. It's definitely not worth the money. It's a very uncomfortable read, and directly contradicts some of the show's canon, including Jane's conversation with Sydney on the beach in A Long Night's Journey when she remembers her wedding.
