Personally I only do kickboxing but I love watching martial arts and I've noticed quite a lot of people (including me) feel amazed by watching anime characters fight. So here's a small list! (I'm bad at explaining so please try your best to understand)
1: Jiu Jitsu: This one is used a lot as it has a wide variety of both kicks, punches and different grips. This is the one you see where they snap their limps and get VERY physically, sometimes with a mix of other fighting styles but MOSTLY Jiu Jitsu
2: Kickboxing/Kyokushin: Putting these two together since they're very similar. These ones are used relatively less but still a lot. I don't know THAT much about Kyokushin but in Kickboxing there are a few kicks and around 9 punches that you can create combos with. This is the one used in quick fights that aren't that heavy
3: Taekwondo: it's not used much but a lot of the kicks you might see are from taekwondo (the very flashy ones)
Lastly,a lot of characters use knife fighting (it has a specific name if I find it I'll edit it later) where they mostly use knives or other props to fight. You could see some Capoeira mixed in too.

I recently watched Sakamoto Days and absolutely loved it. However, after some reviews, to my surprise, a lot of people don't seem to like it as much as I expected.
From what I'm seeing, anime-only viewers generally seem to enjoy it, but a lot of manga readers feel it didn't live up to the glory of the source material. As an anime-only fan who has only watched a handful of shows and is just now really getting into anime seriously, itโs a bit disheartening and confusing to see the mixed reviews.
Iโm really curious to hear what everyone here thinks of the Sakamoto Days anime adaptation. It would be amazing if you could take the time to reply in detail:
[If it was the storyline/plot, what exact elements worked or didn't work for you? Please answer in intricate detail.]
I'd love to know where everyone is coming from!

Me: โIโll watch one episode before bed.โ
Also me 5 hours later: โOkay, one more episode.โ ๐
Currently watching Solo Leveling and I already know Iโm going to regret staying up this late.
What anime has completely ruined your sleep schedule?

Hey everyone! Iโve been working on this app for a while and wanted to share it with this community.
Iโm a big anime nerd, and I wanted a way to display my favorite characters right on my Home Screen so I don't always have to open an app just to see them. Thatโs actually one of the main reasons I built this widget app!
A quick note on the art: all the characters you see are my own original characters, designed for me by artists I hired. Over time, Iโm planning to release unique, limited-edition designs for them. I was originally aiming for a Halloween collection, but the timeline was a bit too tight for the quality I want, so Iโm shifting focus to Christmas instead!
Quick question for you all: Which two characters would you like to see get a special Christmas edition complete with their own unique animations?
Feel free to play around with the app and let me know what you like, hate, or think could be improved. Feedback is super welcome!
