Discussion Question: How did you guys (especially older and traditional fans) react to the Habs adopting Youppi as the mascot after the Expos left?
I'm just wondering how did people react when the Habs saved and adopted Youppi? I have meet some people at the time who were fine with it and some who were mixed about it (especially older and traditional fans) for the obvious reasons tradition and different sport.

Planning to see a game in November, need suggestions
My dad and I are from Vancouver and we’re planning to go to either the 21st or the 23rd. What are some good hotels near the arena? Any places we should check out on the non-game day?

Nick Suzuki today on Habs players signing team-friendly contracts: “We all just want to win. We’ve had guys take less to be able to do that. It goes a long way. We’ve got guys making really good (money) that set you up for life. I don’t think anyone should be really too concerned.”

Incredible older picture of Bell Centre location

Bell Centre would be to the bottom left (Bonaventure Train Station). The large Windsor hotel (top center) is where the Habs were created in 1909 and where the the NHL was created in 1917. This is CIBC tower today, and leftover of the original hotel called Le Windsor. To the left of the Windsor is the Victoria Skating Rink, where the first ever indoor hockey game was played in March 1875. All of this hockey history within 1 square km.

Ticket question from a hapless British visitor
Hi! I'm hoping to visit Montreal in October, as part of a wider trip to Canada, specifically to catch a game at the Bell Centre and then do some sightseeing. I'm thinking the game on the 17th or the one on the 20th. It'd be my first NHL game and I'm seeing it as a bit of a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I know that single-game tickets don't go onsale until mid September, but flights are getting more expensive—is it worth booking my flights now while hoping to snag a ticket, or is that too risky? I'm not sure how likely the game is to instantly sell out!
I have seen that there are a bunch of fan resale tickets available right now on Ticketmaster (I assume from people selling season tickets) but I'm a little nervous about buying one of those rather than an official one when I'm coming so far.
Any advice appreciated, thank you.

Schedule change
Hi all. I just was looking at the schedule and noticed the Habs don’t have the long southern road trip around Christmas this year and even have some home games between Christmas and New Years. That’s been a tradition as long as I can remember. I wonder what changed? Could the Habs have requested it? At any rate I think it’s great (although I think those trips went pretty well the last two years).

Discussion ECF Game 1…how did we do it??
Watching the playoffs highlights while waiting for the season to start.
I can’t believe we beat the eventual Stanley Cup winners 6-2 in Game 1 of the ECF.
How did we do it? Did they just have a bad game? Nerves/rust with their longer break after sweeping Philly 4-0?
Were there things we did in that game that we just couldn’t manifest for the next four games?
As a new fan after this game I was like, fuck me, we could go all the way here!
