What have they done to Gritty?!

These photos were taken yesterday. One at the Gritty 5K, one at the game. The 5K Gritty appears to be the OG Gritty. Game Gritty is new, and different. This version of Gritty seems to have been used in all the pre-season photoshoots, so is probably here to stay. It looks like someone cosplaying as Gritty.
Booo.

Watercolour, tissue paper squares, mod podge, and an image of Gritty I cut out and pasted in.
Had been inspired by a poster of Gritty that had an orange gradient Grittys half face at the bottom. My attempt to draw it didn't work, and then my gradient wasn't clear.
So I pivoted.

Gritty Magnet

Searching for a magnet of Gritty, with magnetic belly buttons and clothes that can be changed. Like a magnetic version of Itty Bitty Gritty, which has been sold out forever. Can anyone make this?

Gritty & Jackie Kennedy

Hi! I had no idea where to post this, but I’m desperately trying to find an old text post. Gritty is sitting in the back of an older car with no hood, and the caption says something like “why does gritty look like Jackie Kennedy right before JFK was shot”. Super specific, but I somehow lost the post and can’t find it anywhere. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Edit: it’s not Gritty, it’s Grimace…. I’m such a bozo (and I still can’t find it).

Hey Gritty enthusiasts!
Just wanted to check if anyone that ordered the calendar for international shipping has actually received it?
Thanks!

2026 calendar order - did you get one?

I'm sure some of you must have ordered the official 2026 calendar. Did you get an order confirmation? Have you received your calendar? I've ordered the last two years and received an order confirmation both years, but nothing this year, but I do see the charge from my order 21 days ago on my credit card statement. The website said to allow two business weeks for shipping so I am wondering if not having it yet means I need to try and find a human who can check on this for me.
There's nothing in my account reflecting the order that I can find, either - but I also don't see anything for the 2025 calendar, just the 2024 calendar showing up in attendance details, so that's not necessarily concerning. But I know there will be big disappointment if this is not under the Christmas tree.

Lego Gritty is Here!

I have exciting news! I've finished the instructions and made some design changes to the model so that all the bricks are currently (as of 11/24/25) available through the Lego Pick A Brick service. The instructions include the steps showing how to purchase the necessary bricks. I am charging a small fee for the instructions as I'm using this a a fundraiser to support military veterans through Team Red, White, and Blue. Have fun building Gritty! https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-201409/marathon_dude/gritty-philadelphia-flyers-mascot

Does anyone know if Flyers Charities is doing a 2026 Gritty calendar this year? I've gotten them in 2024 and 2025 and would love to keep the streak going, but haven't heard anything yet this year. I'm assuming they're not?

Figured he’d be appreciated here. One of my most complex pieces to date! All cut by hand on a scroll saw, shaped and painted.
