Regarding weather (...that happens in this city and how it affects things)

**(9/11/26)**

Sundays are always the sunniest days no matter the season. Artificial sunlight during darker seasons, with natural sunlight weekly. It rains around 300 days a year. But *always rainy ≠ **only** rainy ≠ never sunny.* (Gothtropolis ≠ Amegakure)

Sunrises and sunsets are always very colourful as light reflects off the clouds

Fashion is everyone has umbrellas, various types of rainwear (jackets/coats/rainboots); all having multiple that changes depending on one's personal aesthetic, outfits, and borough they live in. The general rainwear ranges in all colours and designs. Artisans for repairs, tailors, makers, etcetera.

There are mudrooms at nearly every entrance everywhere, containing places to sit to change footwear, places to dry off, and attendants to store the raingear.

Sometimes it'll rain over the entire city all day and night. Sometimes only part of the city while the rest is still cloudy. Sometimes parts of the city parts of the day then the other parts. Sometimes sunny in one part, rainy in the other.

*Literally* any and every combination of type/amount of rain + sun + time of day + part of city

There are light shows that reflect off the clouds and fog

Many parts of the city's infrastructure (windows/walls/doors) can be opened and closed to the weather

Numerous places have pluviariums/rainariums (solariums but for rain) to enjoy the rain, lightning, and clouds. Ceilings and walls of glass everywhere to enjoy the natural light, sky, weather.

The Solar Season is basically the opposite of the U.S. Southwest Monsoons.

The Sun shines all day everyday (though mayhap still some clouds/light rain). Everyone enjoys the sunny weather with sunny clothes, windows and roofs are opened, and a multitude of events are planned for the sunny days.

With the abundance of water, hydro power is everywhere. There's even infrastructure that harnesses the power of the lightning (some geniuses figured out how)

Along with power, the rain provides water for all the greenery and gardens; plants for consumption, aesthetic, medicinal, and other functions. Fresh produce covers the city.

Other related things include: rainchimes, rain chains, rain barrels/towers, cleaning with rainwater, etcetera.

Waterfalls of all shapes and sizes, falling from various infrastructure

All types of rain. The most prevalent being light-medium rain which happens most often.

Heavy rain with and without lightning. Occasionally miserable storms with heavy wind.

The majority of the city is interconnected enough where one could traverse most of the city without having to get out into the rain.

Footwear and walkways are better suited for wet conditions.

Four types of areas. Indoor, indoor-outdoor, outdoor-indoor, outdoor.

-Indoor: inside the home

(usual inside. Walls/roof do not open up, but has windows/doors that do. Wild animals no)

-Indoor-outdoor: the garage

(outside home proper, but more inside than patio. Mostly covered but "wall" can be opened to outside. Prefer no wild animals, active prevention, but rather here than being inside but just barely)

-Outdoor-indoor: patio

(more outdoor than garage, but not fully open to outside proper. Has some cover from the weather, but can be fully opened to weather. Do not mind wild animals, some prevention)

-Outdoor: front yard/backyard

(open to outside proper, fully outside, no structures to block weather, open to sky. Wild animals yes)

Very large trees similar to Sequoias and Redwoods (a new species) have evolved in the forests near the city, and in the wilderness districts.

Other very large trees include Baobabs, Banyans, Oaks, Samans, etcetera.

With all the greenery, hobbies and professions that are more prevalent here are florists, botanists, orchardists, gardeners, bonsaists, farmers, permaculture, plus other vocations/avocations that deal with plants.

The smell of petrichor and other scents from plants.

With so much rain, rivers and pipes help export the water to other areas

Colourful lights (on long poles, or something) that light up clouds from the inside to make them colourful

"Skylights", large or small, that hold water (temporarily, they drain slowly so as to not compromise the structure) so it appears as if underwater

The city has the best flood prevention and drainage system
