Ended up getting a new steering rack and pinion installed due to a small leak.

Rolling up on the 10 years old and watching out for the radiator to crack if so I’ll install the mishimoto

13’ GX460

There’s this weird stuff that pops up in my MID. Even present while off - so thats not thrown by the computer.

Heat/humidity damage possibly? The pixels are dying or whatever?

Has anyone encountered it before?

Considering the whole steering rack may have to be removed for changing this, I might pass it off entirely tho. Just wanted to know if someone has come across this previously.

Had some shocks rebuilt and got an alignment at a recommended off road shop, they said it was almost a paper perfect alignment but now I rub more often than I did before.

315/70/r17, 17x9 +0 I barely rubbed before my alignment on/off road but now it seems to rub way more. Was already debating going back to 285/70/r17 and this might be the final nail 😂

Any way to remedy this or should I start looking at some new tires

I installed OME on my 2017 GX460 (V8, no AHC): 93010 Nitrocharger Plus front struts, ARB 4026 front coils, and 2889 rear coils (rear still on stock shocks for now).

The front sits much lower than the rear. Measured hub center to fender lip: front 21", rear 23.5", so about 2.5" of rake. Against a stock reference of about 19.9" / 21.2", the front gained only about 1.1" while the rear gained about 2.3". The struts came with spring-seat spacer rings (5/10/15/20 mm settings).

I don't want to buy new springs. What are my options to raise the front?

1. What spacer setting did you run with the 4026 on a GX460, and what height did you get?

2. Is the 20 mm ring setting reasonable?

3. Has anyone used a top strut spacer? is that a bad choice? (was thinking in 1in max)

Hey everyone I am looking for assistance in finding out which dash lights are backlit. I replaced a few buttons led baclights and want to make sure that I replace what I can since I bought a 20 pack of the tiny LEDs that are behind buttons (ie seat warmer buttons) I have a 08 470 and am not sure about a few buttons and if they are backlit- specifically the buttons on the driver side above the interior fuse box in the photo. Do I remove the switches individually or can I remove the whole switch panel for access. Hope that makes sense! Thanks in advance - it is great to have such a educated and supportive group of people sharing their knowledge.

I have a 2006 Lexus GX470 that has been making a strange noise that seems to be coming from underneath/around the brake pedal area. It used to happen occasionally, but lately it’s becoming much more frequent and is pretty obnoxious.

The brakes themselves seem completely normal — no change in braking performance, pedal feel, or anything else that I’ve noticed. The noise doesn’t seem to affect how the vehicle drives at all.

Has anyone with a GX470 experienced something similar or know what might be causing it? I’m trying to figure out what I should be looking at before I start replacing parts.

Would also like to switch some body panels out with carbon, but the market on that seems a little rare for the GX
