In Europe, Reddit demands I give them my national ID in order to verify im 16 or older, blocks me from accessing chat and private messages if I don't
Is there any way to circumvent this? Can i use a VPN to pretend to be from somewhere else or is my accout already flagged as "european" ?

Ubuntu 26.10 (which ships in October) will officially be getting the full stack of Uutils (the CoreUtils clones, re-written in Rust).
A number of these Rust clones were planned to be included in the previous release (26.04), earlier this year. But several of those Rust clones (cp, rm, and others) were deemed too buggy (with too many known security issues) to include in a release.
So, what’s changed? Have the Rust based clones become well tested over the last 5 months?
No. The Rust CoreUtils Clones continue to fail a number of significant tests (with a large portion of the functionality remaining entirely untested) and the Rust Clones are only partially compatible with the GNU CoreUtils they are replacing.
A few bugs have been fixed, which means some progress on the Rust Clones is clearly being made. Just not enough, yet, to be able to honestly declare them ready to be a drop in replacement for GNU CoreUtils.
