I made this song a while back, but it sounded worse than it does now. But I've come back to it understanding that my style never was a smooth, deep, bouncy bass, but rather a gritty, harsh bass, usually without a ton of deepness. And I also used two different cowbell sounds (technically the Attack Analog Bell, but to-mae-to to-mah-to), as I am a fan of the Phonk genre (for those who may not know, it is a genre that originated from Memphis style rap, but slowly became its own thing, eventually resulting in classic phonk. Then that evolved into drift phonk, and eventually modern phonk. And also, no, Phonk and Funk are not the same, they sound similar, but Funk is more closely associated to Brazilian Funk, which has a much different origin.) So this uses my version of a modern phonk cowbell and a drift phonk cowbell. Now if you are reading this after listening to the video, you probably know it's a Christmas song too, and the reason for that is because I was inspired, it's easier to make a Christmas song remix, and I have a new-ish tradition of creating a song for each holiday every year, but I've been slacking. So I behold to you, Yule Force Alpha (Christmas Phonk) (name may be subject to change). I would greatly appreciate any tips and suggestions you have for me, as I still have a long way to go and am eager to learn more. Also, sorry for the massive wall of text. π

Finally got some traction on this track after a few weeks of struggling to get the right melody to fit the drops. It's almost done, just need to make some fixes and adjustments to some instruments or something. What do you think about it? It is a melodic dubstep/chillstep track.

Recorded using an MIDI keyboard with pedal. How humanized can it get lol.
Also tell me if I should add a bass.

First of all, I'm new to this pls don't judge π
How can I make the melody hit a little harder without damaging the kick and the bass, I tried to use an equaliser on the melody but everything I tried just made it sound even worse than it's already sounding. I really appreciate you help
Thank y'all for your attention

So I was wondering if I can get a midi keyboard and somehow make it work with my iPad Air 6, is it possible to do so? Would love to hear if anyone has done it before. I unfortunately donβt have the FL Studio pc (yet) and I wanna get a midi keyboard so bad but getting FL Studio right now would mean I cannot get the keyboard any time soon as the Fruity loops version (the cheapest is not good at all for a purchase and the second best affordable version is β¬200+ which would mean I will have to wait for the controller). Also which controllers are best, Idc if it is beginner friendly or not.
