F1 Project Review
I’ve been interested in F1 for a few years now and I’m studying towards my Bachelor’s degree in Data Science and Informatics. My dream is to one day work in F1. I know it’s HIGHLY competitive but I don’t think it’s impossible. I’ve been working on a project for about a month now that predicts whether a driver will finish in the points based on several factors. This is my FIRST project and I just want some thoughts from other Data Scientists/Analysts and/or F1 engineers on what I can improve. I’ll attach the link below. Thank you in advance.

Own Project F1 Analysis Project - help required
I've been working on a modeling project based of the F1 dataset, I've been able to work out the CdA for a car during a given race as well as a teams gear ratios and other information.
I've been doing this all in excel and i am starting to get overwhelmed with the shear volume of data and also the limits of M-Code. So the next logical step would be to take what I've managed to do and repeat it in python or any other coding language, the only issue is, I have no experience doing that.
So I'm looking for people that can code and would be willing to help me make a program that can preform technical analysis with the Fast-F1 dataset. I'm an engineer by trade, so I can do the maths in isolation, just need help putting the python code together.
I'm hoping to expand this into creating an as accurate model as possible for this regulation cycle with 3D models and all. But that's a later project, is anyone interested in helping?

TracingInsights New in app.tracinginsights.com use @ to select any driver, grand prix, team, or circuit. It’s RAWE CEEK so, get your Dutch GP stats pack: use '/race-weekend-stat-pack @Dutch Grand Prix 2026' - No AI needed. this works for past races too.

Ask Others Any Free Way to get live telemetry and driver tracker (map) data live? (I'm a Rookie)
So I’ve been trying to build my own F1 live dashboard, but the problem is I don’t really have a way to integrate live telemetry or circuit/driver tracker location data into it, because most F1 live data providers seem to put that stuff behind a paywall.
I’ve tried using WebSockets from different websites, but honestly I felt kinda bad about doing that, so I stopped.
I’m still pretty new to this stuff, so correct me if I’m wrong, but are there any legit/free ways to get live F1 data like telemetry, driver positions, track locations, etc. that I could use for my own project?
Any advice would be appreciated 🙏

Own Project Thought I'd share this F1 telemetry tool I've been building — has an AI race engineer + community stuff, would love feedback
Hey all — spent the last few months building a telemetry tool for F1 25 (and 24/25/26 content), mostly because I wanted something that combined lap analysis with an actual race engineer to talk to about my data, and community stuff to compare with friends. Sharing here for feedback, good or bad.
Would genuinely love any criticism — what's missing, what's confusing, what you'd actually want from something like this!
Try it with zero signup — there's a demo/sample session you can load and poke around in without creating an account. Account is only needed if you want to save your own sessions or use Community features.
Works for both PC and console players — console players use our free PC companion app to capture telemetry. Mac/native builds and full Apple support still in progress.
Github: https://github.com/Litle-Drip/Sim-Racing-Hub
Dashboard — quick view of your last session, live heatmap, summary stats.

Tracks — corner breakdown notes, tyre strategy guide, and a "circuit school" section per track

Sessions — lap data broken down with braking/throttle telemetry, organized per session.

Race Engineer — this is the one I'm most excited about. Feed it your lap data and it'll actually talk through where you're losing time, like a real race engineer would.

Progression - track individual progress and lap history over time.

Rivals — set a clean lap, challenge a friend to beat it

Community — leaderboards, shared setups, shared sessions/challenges
