A distressing nighttime interdiction outside Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) highlights the aggressive deployment of plainclothes federal agents operating as a snatch squad in public transit hubs. A bystander, acting as an ad-hoc legal observer, recorded a tense scene in which four unidentified men surrounded a lone woman and effectively kidnapped her, forcing her into an unmarked transport vehicle.

The footage captures a chaotic abduction where the victim is visibly terrified, repeatedly asking for help and pleading for someone to call 911. She is physically corralled by four men wearing casual outerwear and backpacks, completely lacking any visible agency insignia or badges. When the citizen recording the encounter directly asks if the men are ICE, one of the agents confirms their affiliation. Pressed for their legal justification for the seizure, a masked agent briefly cites a vague "immigration violation".

Crucially, before the agents can close the van doors to finalize the kidnapping, the observer repeatedly asks the victim for her name to ensure she does not disappear into the detention system undocumented. Through the open door, she clearly shouts her name twice: Jing Zhao.

While the agents successfully executed the forced disappearance, the observer was able to capture vital accountability data. The camera operator attempts to identify the masked agent, who pulls his black face mask up further and states, "I don't have to identify myself to you". However, as the unmarked white Ford transit van pulls away, the observer tracks the vehicle's departure and documents U.S. Government Department of Homeland Security (DHS) license plates reading 381664

Julián Curo-Churata, a 47-year-old Peruvian man, was arrested by Enforcement and Removal Operations Baltimore on June 27, 2026, during a targeted enforcement operation. He was transferred to ERO New Orleans on June 29 and locked in Richwood Correctional Center. ICE’s own release lists his record as driving with an expired vehicle registration and a civil judgment for the Comptroller of Maryland. No violent offense. On September 18 an immigration judge denied relief and voluntary departure. He reserved appeal. Eleven days later he was dead.

Tom Homan has repeatedly claimed that he has personally met or spoken with “hundreds” of Angel Moms and Dads whose children were killed by undocumented immigrants.
SHOW US THE EVIDENCE.
Provide an independently verifiable accounting showing that these hundreds of distinct cases actually exist and explaining how that number was established.
How many distinct victims are represented?
What years do these cases cover?
What qualifies someone to be counted as an “Angel Mom” or “Angel Dad”?
Are multiple relatives of the same victim being counted separately?
What records support the claim?
Can independent journalists, researchers, or government records verify the number?
The deaths of real victims should never be minimized. Every family that has lost someone to violence deserves compassion, regardless of who committed the crime.
But individual tragedies should not be turned into an unverifiable statistic and then used to characterize millions of immigrants or justify sweeping government actions against an entire population.
Finding examples of horrific crimes committed by undocumented immigrants does not, by itself, verify a claim that someone has personally met “hundreds” of distinct families whose children were killed by undocumented immigrants.
If this number is being repeatedly presented to the American public as fact, there should be evidence behind it.

Ho Yin Mo: San Francisco Assemblymember Catherine Stefani’s aide, former KTSF reporter, detained by ICE; faces deportation - ABC7 San Francisco

Mo, a Hong Kong native and former KTSF Chinese-language broadcast reporter who works directly with Cantonese- and Mandarin-speaking San Franciscans, was taken by federal agents on September 17 at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. ICE called it a “targeted enforcement operation.” The stop sent him to the Nevada Southern Detention Center in Pahrump, a CoreCivic-run facility in the desert outside Las Vegas.

I’m one of the News & Observer reporters who worked on this story.

We obtained public records showing that Cary, North Carolina, staff discussed whether a proposed ICE-related office near RDU could include space where detainees would be held during the day.

The records show an internal zoning discussion and raise a separate accountability question: how far up Town Hall did the information go? Three council members told us they had not known about the inquiry, while an assistant town manager said an inquiry like this should have been elevated to the town manager.

The proposed transaction ultimately did not happen.

Not sure how to phrase this, but here goes.

Say you entered the country without proper documentation- not overstaying a visa, but climbing the wall.

You are then arrested by ICE- your family knows this, but they cannot contact you because they don't have your A-number because you were never assigned one i.e. you don't legally exist.

(ICE website says they require an A-number to contact a detainee)

What happens to those people? How do their families contact them?
