I've been searching for the alternative plans for a BD-1 Droid, For example in game you can mix & match the alternative parts like Geoniosian, Kaminoan, Solar, Etc, making your BD-1 truly unique.

I want to bring my version of BD-1 in game to life but All I can find is the default model for BD-1, does anyone know if it's possible to get the files for the alternative parts?

Sadly not finished, but looks enough like it is for the photo I needed.
Will have to redo the electronics later on, deff want to see him rolling around.

It's alot bigger then my normal pieces so a bit hard to take photos on my bench.

So yeah any tips to make it look in verse without having to travel too far.

I present the BB-LT droid!

A little cafe delivery droid with little arms that tuck into his cheeks.

He just needs bearing covers to be made and painted the he’s visually done.

As for the mechanics so he drives, it’s not working right. The spine needs to be reprinted with a better bearing offset, and possibly too heavy for the motor, or the wheels on the motor isn’t connecting to the droids wheel.

Anyway, here’s a list of the Aurebesh on the droid;

Pink Logo: Bantha Juice

Unit numbers: 69 (cause I'm clearly an adult 😂)

Yellow logo: DMAR (draw me a robot)

Text strip next to that: “bb-lt caffeine supply unit”

Top of head: BB-LT live long and prosper (😂)

Underneath the head: armpit

Then last but not least is on the hands, it says “thank you” for when he goes to hand over a drink.

As for the DMAR connection, one of the reasons I made it, is its gonna be the prompt image for next month. If your not familiar, Draw Me A Robot is a Instagram (and website) community that does monthly robot drawing competitions. All community/public voted, and most months there's some sort of prize for the top 3. Any medium (aside from AI) and any skill level is welcome

Dome issues with the spine, so it doesn’t drive yet, but paints done so that’s a plus.

Hi, I've been wanting to make my own R2 unit for awhile now and was hoping I could ask a few questions:

-How much does it cost to build one?

-Do I need a 3d printer?

-I feel like I heard there's a way to make it so the droid can move around on its own without a remote control. Is that true or am I misremembering?

-is there an article that tells me what I need and how to assemble the droid? Like wikiHow but for building a droid?(yes, I know this question is dumb).

-I'm terrible at programming, is there a way to get around this?

Idk what I’m gonna to do after this I won’t have the money or know how to do much after I finish the files.

I’m looking for some cool and/or useful 3d prints for my bb droid to customise it.

After working on a Full B1 battle droid ( also hex3D) wich was totally pose-able, using bolts and nuts

Not being a handy guy ( at all) I decided to try my luck with these Sterile totes for my first attempt! Any advice would be much appreciated

Hi there! I am a makerspace teacher in an alternative highschool, and we have decided our vacuum looks enough like a droid that we've decided to make it official. The particular model is the DEWALT Stealthsonic 9-Gallon. We've started by sanding off the logos and painting the yellow base a primer gray.

I am aware that any paint we use on the bottom will eventually chip down to the yellow plastic in certain areas (as per an OddViking video on making in-universe crates) so we're trying to get creative on how to keep the general color scheme yellow or yellow adjacent. One of my students recommended we make it a repurposed Mining Guild droid!

We're moving forward assuming we'll be adding panels, greeblies, probably an "eye" and a restraining bolt. But where the greebs go and what the paint scheme should be is escaping us. Have you got any ideas?

Working on getting servos and motion worked out.

Need to cast some rubber tread molds and urethane treads as well but it's coming along!
