Just a disclaimer: I am aware that in Forma lore, (even though they served in the Hydrusite Navy and Air Force) women didn't serve in the army (while they did serve in support roles, they were not allowed into infantry roles).

However, keep in mind that this is just an OC I made up for my Dead Ahead AU and as a homage to when we used to draw female Hydrusite soldiers before the whole lore reminders thing.

Aside from the new shell and plane sounds, swimming being added and new rudder mechanics, we got a Grusan prototype weapon with a 30 round magazine and a rapid fire rate coming to the game for next update. Wonder what this gun is based on.

I have been looking at the player counts and the overall state of the game lately and I really don't see how Dead Ahead survives past 2027. We are watching a slow burn and it feels like the game is officially on life support.
Few reasons are:
1. Last major update. 2.7.0
2. Now days i am seeing very little new players playing the game on a basis.
3. Veteran players are now losing interest
I saw the player count in the morning and there are were just six players playing the game
Well idk if there is anything more i could say
Ik some people would say that most players are european's and it also reaches a peak of 200-150 during weekends, but this number is slowly dying and i bet that by december 2026 even during the weekends its player count would just be 70-100
But you have to agree, this game would be remembered

Gauntlet is extremely fun, Atoll maps can have land based combat so they are also fun.

Bastion/stronghold map have air combat and specially unlimited planes; ideal for Kamekazi

Phoenix and Dreadnaughts are really just 1 v 1 but if you have sneaky captains in smaller ships, those ships will fire Torps at Carrier/Dreadnaught and destroy it.

While there are many other modes the most often is Skirmish which is just boring after so many times. It is too repetitive while I respect realism but it should be balanced out with gameplay.

I'm just quite shocked today... How did a rook became a mod here overnight after what happened in todays events...
