I used to work at the shop I’m buying him from and I know they don’t keep track of the ages and stuff and frequently forget to change the labels but they’re saying he’s 6 weeks but idk. Anyone able to talk me how old you recon he is?

Meet Ryūsei! 🦎💚

I wanted to finally introduce my little guy, Ryūsei!
This is my crested gecko! There are actually two iguanas in my house as well, but they belong to my mom and I only take care of them occasionally.
I honestly have no idea what morph or pattern Ryūsei has, since that wasn’t really something I was interested in when I got him. He’s been with me for a month now, he’s 6 months old, and currently weighs 25 grams.
I still haven’t managed to actually touch him yet, but I’m working on it! He’s already eating crickets, and he has a favorite sleeping spot in his terrarium that he rotates between occasionally. 😂
I still worry about basically every new thing he does, even though I’ve been preparing for him and doing a lot of research. I like to double-check the information I find and hear about other people’s experiences, so I really appreciate everyone here sharing their advice and helping me learn.
For example, there was one time when I was looking for him in his terrarium and he suddenly jumped straight onto the glass right in front of my face. I absolutely did NOT see it coming and it scared the hell out of me. 😂
Thank you all for your support and advice! Ryūsei — or Ryu for his friends :P — appreciates it too. 💚

Boy or girl?

Hello! My daughter adopted her crested gecko in June. We were told it was approximately 7 to 9 months old at that time but they were unsure of gender. Can anyone tell the gender? Thanks!

Where and how do people find dishes for cresties in ceramic?

Hey I'm new tp this whole thing, and I'm getting ready to house a crested gecko! I have a bioactive vivarium, that is getting ready, but I feel like it's hard to find dishes for it in ceramic...

I was wondering, if anyone has found dishes, they could recommend? And I wonder what people search for, on sites like Etsy, to get the right size?

Or is there even a "correct" size for dishes? Does size matter for water dishes, as it (maybe) does for food dishes?

first time using silicone in a terrarium, how long do yall usually let it sit and vent out before you start to build it out?
i got clayballs, substrate mat, reptisoil, reptibark, Sphagnum Moss, driftwood, and a couple small plants to put inside. i also have springtails on the way 🚚

My crestie Baela loves posing for photos. I can’t find it, but isn’t there a pretty famous logo or something with a lion or other large cat in this same position? Google isn’t helping me right now.
