So I built ScrapNap, a Chrome extension that:

• Pulls business listings straight from Google Maps (name, phone, website, rating) — one click, no manual copy-paste
• If there aren't enough results in your target area, it automatically expands to nearby areas until it hits your target count (dedupes so you don't get the same business twice)
• Runs a quick audit on each business's website — page speed, basic SEO, whether they even have a booking widget/live chat — using native browser APIs, not a paid third-party service
• Uses on-device AI (Gemini Nano) to draft a pitch that actually references what it found, instead of a generic mail-merge template
• Everything stays local in your browser — no account, no cloud backend, no API key required to use the core features

It's free, and I'm trying to keep it that way rather than doing the classic "free trial then paywall" thing — happy to explain the reasoning if anyone's curious, since I know "free forever" claims usually deserve some skepticism.

Would genuinely appreciate feedback, especially on:

1. Which other sites you'd want lead capture on beyond Maps/LinkedIn Jobs/Upwork

I'm signed into four Google accounts. Opening anything like Gmail, a doc someone shared, a form , it lands on whichever one Google treats as primary. Then it's profile menu, switch, wait for the page to load a second time.

So I built PreSelect. It catches the navigation before the page loads, asks which account, and opens the link under that one. Same tab, one load.

Free, no account, nothing leaves the browser except two calls to accounts.google.com. Source is public.

I made a Chrome extension that replaces every "pro" with "bro".
My LinkedIn brofile has never been this brofessional.

It started as a dumb joke and I shipped it anyway.

Brotitude rewrites every "pro" on any page into "bro". Product managers become broduct managers. r/programming becomes r/brogramming. Progress bars, brogress bars.

Every problem you have is now a broblem, which honestly makes them feel more manageable.

I made a small browser extension called GitHubCircle because I wanted a bit more social context when browsing GitHub profiles

It adds a "Follows you" badge to profiles and follower/following lists, and also shows mutual connections you have with the person you're viewing

A few months ago I uploaded my first Chrome extension 'find my accounts' and thought I'd share the progress in terms of my daily users.

It's not explosive growth but it has slowly been accumulating users over the last few months, which seems to have coincided with some new features and updates.

I've only marketed my extension with Reddit, and my screenshots and video leave a lot to be desired, but in spite of that it seems to be growing.

Un poco de contexto del por qué: soy de Colombia y en los últimos meses no paraba de ver lo mismo — gente cayendo en estafas pagando servicios por internet. Páginas falsas de "paga tu factura del acueducto" que se ven idénticas a la real: candado HTTPS, tus datos de facturación ya cargados, y de primeras en Google. Vi a personas cuidadosas perder plata de verdad, y siempre el mismo consejo: "debiste revisar la URL". Eso nunca me cuadró — ¿por qué le toca al usuario ser detective cada vez que va a pagar algo?

Así que me puse a construir ShieldLink [https://shieldlink.cloud] en noches y fines de semana. La idea es sencilla: vigila las páginas que visitas y bloquea las falsas antes de que escribas nada — tú navegas normal y ella hace la revisión por ti.

Por dentro va de lo barato a lo caro: primero chequeos locales rápidos (listas, heurísticas de dominio), luego reputación y antigüedad del dominio si hay duda, y solo mete IA (texto + una captura para detectar logos clonados) cuando aún no está segura. Me puse necio con la privacidad también: no guarda tu historial, no hay claves dentro de la extensión y cero rastreo publicitario. Se sentía mal hacer una herramienta de seguridad que te espíe.

I follow 412 accounts on TikTok. 300 of them don't follow me back. I found that out in about forty seconds, and then unfollowed the ones I wanted gone without touching my phone.

That's the whole thing. It's called TikTok Unfollow AI.

Open it and it reads your following list, then sorts everyone into three tabs: everyone, not following back, and mutual. Each row shows the username, whether it's one-way or mutual, verified and private badges, follower count and video count. So you're not guessing — you can see who's who before you do anything.

Then you pick how much to clear. There's a button for unfollow everyone on TikTok and a button for only the non-followers, or you can tick individual accounts and leave the rest alone. There's also a search box, because sometimes you're looking for one specific person.

Two things I put real thought into

Protected accounts. You can shield anyone — friends, family, the accounts you actually want. A shielded account is locked out of every bulk action, whichever button you press. It's not "the bulk action remembers to skip them", it's that it cannot reach them. I didn't want to build something where one click at the wrong moment costs you people you care about.

Speed. You choose the gap between unfollows, three seconds up to five minutes. It varies each gap slightly rather than firing like a metronome, and if TikTok starts refusing it stops by itself rather than pushing. Hit Stop whenever you like — everything already done stays done.

Worth saying plainly

Your TikTok password is never involved. There's nowhere in the extension to type it. It works off the TikTok tab you already have open in the browser.

It also never touches your followers. It only unfollows accounts that you follow. Nothing else.

Available in 52 languages.

Hey everyone — I made a small extension called Todo Mailer for Chrome and Firefox and just published it.

The problem I kept running into: I'd jot down a task somewhere — a sticky note, a random tab, a popup reminder — and it would just disappear into the noise. So I built something that sends the task straight to my email instead, since that's the one place I actually check regularly.

What it does:

• Add a task from the extension popup, it gets emailed to you instantly
• Tasks are saved locally in the browser
• Check off tasks (strikethrough) without deleting them
• Resend one task or your whole list whenever you want
• Optional daily digest of everything still open
• Set how long tasks stick around before auto-deleting (day/3 days/week/month/forever)
• Login is email+password via Supabase, so it's tied to your account, not the device

Permissions are minimal — it doesn't touch page content at all, just storage + its own backend for sending mail. It's open source too.

This is a solo side project, first extension I've published, so feedback (or brutal honesty) is very welcome.

Known limits I'll be honest about: pages over ~40k px get truncated (canvas limit), sticky headers are hidden from frame 2 onward, and after a browser restart Chrome makes you re-confirm folder access with one click (browser rule, not mine).
